While you will not come across the kind of heavy buildup common elsewhere, the fact remains that every fixture has its share of sediment and seals will eventually wear out. Then again, no matter how fine the city water may be, the state of the home’s own plumbing will have its say on the condition of the tap.
There are times when a repair is the quickest way to go, yet for function’s sake you might be wise to put in a new fixture rather than keep an old one. Take the installation of a sink: it is not as simple as setting a basin in the counter. We must account for the seal and drain location, the dimensions and any water staining. A remodel also presents the chance to opt for something more eco-friendly. Be advised, however, that if the work is on a larger scale here in Forsyth County, the City-County Inspections Division will want to see a permit.
