Absolutely 5 star experience!! I called Benjamin Franklin Pluming in need of a new water heater. They were able to come out the same day, I signed up for the membership that comes with perks on future services. The technician was very nice and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend you call them.

We are very pleased with the service Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Our technician was Hunter. He replaced a very old water heater and brought our plumbing needs for that up to code. He also unclogged a drain and took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the new water heater. He also said that they will come once a year to drain the water heater free of charge for the next 7 years. Benjamin plumbing will now be in our contact list for all future plumbing needs. Thank you for the quick service!

Tina Slusser

Hunter and Nazibu did an amazing job on my repair. They were able to get there way earlier than expected which was nice as my situation was urgent. I was informed they would be coming early. They were both very courteous, knowledgeable and professional and got the job completed in a few hours on the same day I called. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again for future repair needs😊

Randy Cooper is an excellent plumber. My 2 toilets have been running periodically for a long time and he knew what the problem was before he got into the bathrooms, and promptly fixed them. He gave me good advice on a couple things and also suggested I call water company about adjusting my water & sewer bills. I found him to be very nice and knowledgeable. I was very happy with him and will call again if needed!!!!

Plumbing FAQs

What routine maintenance should I be doing for my Eastern Iowa water heater?

To keep your water heater running smoothly in Eastern Iowa, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.

How do I know if I need a Eastern Iowa plumber for my home's low water pressure?

If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Eastern Iowa home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Eastern Iowa to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.

Do you offer plumbing financing in Eastern Iowa?

We work built relationships with several lenders to ensure our customers are able to restore functionality in their homes. Ask your technician about your financing options.

Are there plumbing upgrades that can help conserve water in my Eastern Iowa home?

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Eastern Iowa home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.

What are common plumbing issues in older Eastern Iowa homes?

Older homes in Eastern Iowa often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.

What should I do to prepare my plumbing for winter in Eastern Iowa?

To get your plumbing ready for winter in Eastern Iowa, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.

How can I tell if my sewer line is damaged in Eastern Iowa?

Signs of a damaged sewer line in your IA home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
