We had a big problem happen where one technician did our estimate, and a different tech came to do the install. The tech doing the install did not understand what the estimate/work was going to be covering and thus we ended up extremely unhappy with his work. However Mike England, the tech that did our estimate, was in touch next-day and explained that the work was indeed not as it was supposed to be and informed me that he had already started the process to have a new tech, Will Elliot, come out to fix our situation. Will fixed everything and explained what it was he had done. He was very professional and did an awesome job. Mike also has been extremely professional throughout this experience and has worked hard to make sure that our situation was fixed and that we were happy with the work. I’ll include a picture of what it ended up looking like and while it is unorthodox, it is functional and makes my life easier in the event of a leak because I will no longer have to take the wall apart to reach the shutoffs. I am only giving a 4-star because of the problems that came up but as for Mike and Will they are 5-star, grade-A technicians.
Jordan Seller is an outstanding plumber! He’s a leader! He’s Reliable plus professional, wise, knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy on top on courteous and kind! Oscar and his co-worker Kenny did a very commendable job. They did a call ahead which was appreciated and were right on the estimated given time. Both guys were industrious, hard working, conscientious of ensuring the area was clean after they finished and assured us if for any reason a situation might develop to contact them. They took pride in their job and were very pleasant to work with.
Michael England is a brilliant technician. His expertise is of the highest order. Additionally his willingness to explain every aspect of the work being performed - down to the smallest detail - is an invaluable addition to the high quality work and advice being provided. As a demanding customer, I could not be more pleased.
I hired Ben Franklin plumbing to replace the ‘cartridge’ inside the master shower valve (Kohler K-306). Ben Franklin installed it originally. The valve started to leak due to the internal gaskets (at least 5) that normally wear out. The valve is about 15 years old and is a supersized version of a typical Kohler temp rite. To replace the cartridges and the gaskets costs about $240 (Labor only). I ordered the two parts myself directly from Kohler for about $300. The installer did a great job. This job is finicky and Ben Franklin handled it well. The gaskets even when initially put in place can move during install. Once they are installed however they stay put.
