Named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024!
Mira Mesa is one of San Diego's largest suburban communities, a family-oriented area of 1970s-through-1990s subdivisions near the Miramar base and the Sorrento Mesa and Carroll Canyon tech corridors. Its maturing housing gives Mira Mesa a familiar plumbing profile, and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of San Diego serves it on time, every time.
On time, every time: if there's any delay, it's you we pay.
Every Mira Mesa home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire central San Diego service area, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:
Mira Mesa's homes were built largely from the 1970s onward on concrete slabs with copper supply lines. After decades of San Diego's hard, aggressive water, those copper lines are prone to pinhole leaks, a leading cause of the slab leaks common here. Whole-home repiping in PEX is a frequent, lasting solution, and our non-destructive leak detection pinpoints leaks before any demolition.
The area's hard imported water makes softeners and filtration worthwhile to protect water heaters and fixtures, and water heaters installed across the decades of build-out are now aging into replacement. Mira Mesa's elevation can call for pressure regulators, seismic water-heater strapping matters in the region, and the tech corridors nearby add commercial demand. The mild climate keeps the focus on conservation, not freezes.

Mira Mesa's 1970s-and-newer slab homes are squarely our wheelhouse: pinhole and slab leak detection, PEX repiping, water heater service, and softeners, all delivered on time with up-front pricing. Our stocked trucks resolve most calls on the first visit, often the same day.
Mira Mesa's maturing homes reward year-round, conservation-minded care. Watch for warm floor spots, running-water sounds, or unexplained high bills that signal slab or pinhole leaks, flush the water heater yearly for the hard water, confirm seismic strapping, and check your pressure regulator.

Tanner was neat and very knowledgeable. He flushed the water heater, checked all toilets and sinks. We told him about a toilet issue and he was able to fix it while here saving us a fee. A very good company for your plumbing needs.

We have used Ben Franklin Plumbing for years. They are always prompt and professional. We had an issue with our water heater that they installed two years ago. When they arrived, we discovered it was only batteries that needed to be replaced on the water overflow sensor. They replaced the batteries (I now know to do it yearly) and didn't charge me for the service call. You don't get this type of service any more from most companies that provide home services. I highly recommend using Ben Franklin for all your plumbing needs.

Michael Mayes was extremely helpful in this process of replacing a sewer line fix. There team did a great job in fixing my problem and reassuring me everything was done correctly. They were very good at keeping and respecting my property's landscaping. I was very pleased with the whole process of the project they did.

Eric is very knowledgeable and gave me preventative tips. He gave me a few suggestions and quotes to help maintain a working plumbing system. Eric is a very nice person and a valued employee. Should I have any future issues (I hope not) I would like to request Eric to assist. Thank you, Norma Lang
San Diego's hard, aggressive water is tough on the copper pipe common in Mira Mesa's homes. Repeated pinhole leaks often mean a whole-home repipe in PEX is the lasting fix. We assess and advise.
Warm spots on the floor, the sound of running water, low pressure, or unexplained high bills can all signal a slab leak. We pinpoint it with non-destructive detection.
Often, yes. San Diego's hard water scales water heaters and fixtures; a softener protects them and extends their life. We test and size it.
Past 10 to 12 years or with frequent repairs, replacement is usually wiser, and many homeowners upgrade to tankless ones. We give honest, up-front recommendations.
Yes, around the clock, every day, with the On-Time Guarantee and no after-hours fees.
