Meet Our Team

Debbie came to BFP mid way through our very tumultuous first year in business. Since that time, Debbie is the organizing force of our office and a steady hand in an emergency service business that is reactive by its nature. Debbie handles all of our HR, accounting and just about anything else needed to keep the company growing. When she is not in her office at BFP, Debbie and her husband are either enjoying the beach or running after her family and three incredible granddaughters.

Kim is one of only two employees from the original company. She is a friendly voice on the phone, takes very good care of our valued customers and keeps track of all of the trucks day in and day out. Kim is a wife, mother and grandmother to 2 little grandbabies at the very center of here universe.

Mr. Zarzaca has over 25 years experience in mechanical and general contracting. He and his wife, Jean-Marie Zarzaca purchased Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Charleston in 2017 with the goal of rebuilding the organization and transforming it into the very best service plumbing organization in Charleston. Since July of 2017, we have replaced all but 2 employees from the original 5 and have grown to a family of 15 employees including 1 dispatcher, 1 office manager, 7 high quality technicians and 6 plumbing apprentices taking part on our apprenticeship program to teach the trade to the next generation of BFP Plumbers. When Anthony is not working with the business, he enjoys the area beaches with Jean-Marie, is a gourmet chef, coaches youth football in Mt. Pleasant and supports his three children's travel sports.

Billy has over 25 years in the trade and is home grown right here in Aiken, SC. He is a lifelong plumber from a family brought up in the trade. He had been with BFP since our first year in business. When Billy is not working, he enjoys working on race cars, vacationing and sharing a love of the outdoors with his wife and three daughters.

Cody, a SC native by birth, ironically came to us in 2018 from the Ben Franklin in Charlotte where he completed his apprenticeship and grew into the technician role at one of the largest BFP franchises in the nation. In addition to being an excellent Technician, Cody is well schooled in the operations side of the business having run the customer service and dispatch departments in Charlotte. After 2 years with our team, Cody has built great customer relationships and is an excellent teacher for our younger apprentices. When he is not plumbing, Cody is a loving father to one young daughter, loves to fish, ride his Harley and seek new adventures.

Dave came to Ben Franklin as our very first hire in 2017 after the purchase. Originally from Ohio, Dave and his wife have lived in SC for the last 10 years. With his diverse skill in both residential and commercial plumbing, it was obvious from day 1 that this was a technician we could build a business around. With his 30 years experience in the trade, Dave has been an inspiration to our employees and a key part of our corporate development. Outside of plumbing, David is an avid football fan and love to ride his Harley.

Derek is the newest member of our team here at BFP. With over 25 years in the trade, Derek comes to us originally from Boston, Massachusetts by way of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. As a leader at the Ben Franklin franchise in PA, Derek worked both in the field and ran operations. He is an outstanding plumber and diagnostician of hard-to-see problems. New to the Low Country, he, his wife and family are learning all of the amazing things that Low Country Living has to offer. When not working, he and his wife support their son's high school wresting career, the beach and exploring the area.

Dalton is one of only 2 employees left from the company we purchased in mid-2017. An apprentice at that time, he worked with several different technicians and learned the detail of the trade from multiple perspectives. After a 2 year apprenticeship, Dalton was promoted in 2018 and has thrived in the lead role. As a rare native son of Sullivan's Island SC, Dalton loves everything about the Low Country, hunting, fishing, his dogs, his family and his beloved Clemson Tigers.

Kyle is the most recent graduate of our apprenticeship program and took the help of his own service truck in November of 2019 after 18 month studying under Ricky's watchful eye. He came to BFP in 2017 as a young man out of the army and in search of a career and family. That is precisely what he found. Kyle has become quite an accomplished young service tech and gets better every day as he builds his own relationships in the business. When he is not plumbing, Kyle can be found fishing, the beach and all that Charleston living has to offer.

Ricky, as he is known to us and customers across the Low Country came to us in Late 2017 as our third hire in the rebuilding process. He moved to Charleston from South Florida where he has worked in plumbing for the last 20 years. We have been extremely fortunate to have Ricky on our team as he has made a complete transformation from new construction plumbing to service plumbing where he has built great relationships with his customer base and successfully graduated his assigned apprentice to a service technician in 18 months. Rick os an amazing woodworker, husband in father of three children.
