Named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024!
Windrush is an established residential community in Marietta, situated in the East Cobb area of Cobb County. The community is part of the network of well-regarded swim-tennis neighborhoods that characterize East Cobb's residential landscape — established subdivisions with strong HOA amenities, mature tree cover, and housing stock from the 1980s and early 1990s that now spans the 30-to-40-year mark. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Marietta serves Windrush and the surrounding East Cobb communities as part of our core service territory.
East Cobb subdivisions built in the 1980s — including Windrush — were constructed during a period when copper supply lines and slab-on-grade foundations were the universal standard in this region. Those systems are now 35 to 45 years old, in the age range where localized pitting corrosion on the interior of copper supply lines becomes a documented regional pattern across Cobb County. Pipe walls thin at their most vulnerable points over decades until pinhole leaks develop.
The pattern we see in East Cobb 1980s homes is consistent: pinhole leaks begin appearing in different locations over a period of months or years, rather than repeatedly at the same point. This is the defining signal of system-wide deterioration rather than isolated failure. Each repair addresses the current leak but not the underlying age of the pipe, which continues producing new failure points until the pipe system is replaced.
Windrush's wooded setting with mature hardwoods also means tree root intrusion into sewer lines is a service consideration for homes on larger wooded lots. Annual sewer camera inspection is a reasonable precaution for properties with significant tree canopy over the drain line route.

We had Christian from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing service come out to fix a leak in our home. He was patient, explained the procedure thoroughly, on time, and cleaned up the mess. We were pleased with his work.

Love the updates! Everything works perfectly!. The family is so thankful for the new complete water pipes lines, the new waterless tank, the toilet tank repair and most of all the new tub and tiles! The sink doesn’t backup anymore and the water taste so so much better! The metal taste is gone! The toilets don’t flush themselves anymore and the rattling of the pipes doesn’t exist anymore! Their master plumber is awesome; he’s worth every penny spent and more! Gerald, Ryan and team did beyond our family expectations! 5 stars

José was very knowledgeable. He verified that the low flow problem with my old faucet was due to the faucet and not in the house plumbing before installing the new faucet that we had bought a couple of days earlier. My wife and I preferred the design of the new faucet, and José eliminated our worry that the new faucet might not fix the low flow problem. The new faucet is leak free and works great.

Christian our house to diagnose an issue. The water department called and said we were losing 1 gallon per minute of water, continuous use. Christian Came twice with one service charge. He discovered That we had two toilets that were each causing continuous usage. Together, the two toilets were equaling A loss of 1 gallon a minute! For a fair price He fixed both toilets And eliminated the issue. He was polite, caring, honest and prompt!

Johnathan has been outstanding so far as still have final phase to go. He grasped concept of what we wanted and helped bring it into reality. Johnathan has communicated well and made sure we understood each step as work has progressed. Also kudos to Zach and Tony for their hard work in getting it done! In a follow up review Johnathan met to check on work done so we could move on to Step 2. Details were discussed, and we are moving to the next phase. Thanks to Johnathan for continuing to work with us and guide our project successfully. Very satisfied to date.

He was also a very polite young man and I appreciated him being very honest dealing and spoke with me about some possible future plumbing work I would like he and his company to do for us. 10/10 would recommend.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Savannah Metro recently completed the plumbing work for our bathroom remodel, and we were very pleased with the results. They re-piped the bathroom efficiently, kept us informed throughout the process, and delivered quality workmanship. The team was professional, respectful of our home, and made the entire process stress-free. We would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable plumbing services.
Two pinhole leaks in different locations in an East Cobb home from the 1980s is the pattern most consistent with age-related deterioration across the copper supply system. When corrosion is localized, leaks tend to recur at or near the same spot. When they appear in different locations, the degradation is widespread across the pipe system rather than concentrated in one area. A whole-home plumbing assessment can confirm the extent of the corrosion. If it is system-wide — which is the most likely finding in an East Cobb 1980s home with this pattern — a repipe with PEX is the most cost-effective long-term solution. We provide flat-rate pricing in writing before any work begins.
Cobb County's water is soft, so a softener isn't a default recommendation here, though we do install softeners for homeowners who prefer the feel of softened water. The treatments most directly relevant to East Cobb are whole-home catalytic carbon filtration — which removes chlorine, improves taste and odor at every tap, and is gentler on skin and on the rubber seals and gaskets in your fixtures — and point-of-use reverse osmosis under the kitchen sink for drinking water and the trace PFAS compounds detected in the local supply. We are a Brita PRO authorized dealer and handle full assessment, installation, and ongoing service.
Call (770) 999-9871 or book online at any time. For non-emergency scheduling, we typically have same-week availability from our Marietta location. We provide flat-rate pricing before starting any work, and all jobs are backed by a full warranty. There are no hidden charges and no hourly billing surprises.
