Named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024!
Westfield is a residential community in North Fulton County, situated in the established suburban corridor between Alpharetta and Roswell. Like many communities in this part of North Fulton, Westfield’s housing stock was developed during the rapid residential growth of the late 1980s and 1990s that transformed this area from largely rural land into one of metro Atlanta’s most sought-after suburban markets. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Alpharetta serves Westfield and the surrounding area routinely, and our technicians are familiar with the specific plumbing characteristics of homes in this part of the county.
Homes built in the late 1980s through mid-1990s in the Alpharetta and Roswell corridors share a consistent set of plumbing characteristics. Slab-on-grade construction — the standard for this era in North Fulton — means supply lines run beneath concrete foundations, making any leak that develops in those lines a more involved repair than above-slab plumbing. Copper supply lines of this age are in the window where age-related pitting corrosion becomes a real concern, producing the recurring pinhole leaks that are one of the defining service patterns throughout this area.
Water heaters in homes of this vintage are also worth assessing. A water heater installed with the original construction would now be well past the end of its expected service life. Many have been replaced once already and are approaching replacement again. Annual flushing to remove sediment and inspection of the anode rod — the sacrificial metal rod that corrodes so the tank doesn’t — are the most effective maintenance steps for extending water heater service life.

Travis and Robert were punctual, polite and fixed my issue!! Not only that, they took the time to explain and advise me and answer all my questions. I am very satisfied with their service. Also, Jessie in the office was efficient and very sweet to me. All around, a great experience.

We had Christian from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing service come out to fix a leak in our home. He was patient, explained the procedure thoroughly, on time, and cleaned up the mess. We were pleased with his work.

Love the updates! Everything works perfectly!. The family is so thankful for the new complete water pipes lines, the new waterless tank, the toilet tank repair and most of all the new tub and tiles! The sink doesn’t backup anymore and the water taste so so much better! The metal taste is gone! The toilets don’t flush themselves anymore and the rattling of the pipes doesn’t exist anymore! Their master plumber is awesome; he’s worth every penny spent and more! Gerald, Ryan and team did beyond our family expectations! 5 stars

José was very knowledgeable. He verified that the low flow problem with my old faucet was due to the faucet and not in the house plumbing before installing the new faucet that we had bought a couple of days earlier. My wife and I preferred the design of the new faucet, and José eliminated our worry that the new faucet might not fix the low flow problem. The new faucet is leak free and works great.

Christian our house to diagnose an issue. The water department called and said we were losing 1 gallon per minute of water, continuous use. Christian Came twice with one service charge. He discovered That we had two toilets that were each causing continuous usage. Together, the two toilets were equaling A loss of 1 gallon a minute! For a fair price He fixed both toilets And eliminated the issue. He was polite, caring, honest and prompt!

Johnathan has been outstanding so far as still have final phase to go. He grasped concept of what we wanted and helped bring it into reality. Johnathan has communicated well and made sure we understood each step as work has progressed. Also kudos to Zach and Tony for their hard work in getting it done! In a follow up review Johnathan met to check on work done so we could move on to Step 2. Details were discussed, and we are moving to the next phase. Thanks to Johnathan for continuing to work with us and guide our project successfully. Very satisfied to date.

Aaren was very communicative about everything he was going to do. Resolved our issues and very timely. He was also a very polite young man and I appreciated him being very honest dealing and spoke with me about some possible future plumbing work I would like he and his company to do for us. 10/10 would recommend.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Savannah Metro recently completed the plumbing work for our bathroom remodel, and we were very pleased with the results. They re-piped the bathroom efficiently, kept us informed throughout the process, and delivered quality workmanship. The team was professional, respectful of our home, and made the entire process stress-free. We would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable plumbing services.
For homes built in the late 1980s and 1990s — which describes the majority of Westfield’s housing stock — the most consistent issues are copper pipe pinhole leaks, slab leaks in the embedded supply lines, and aging water heaters. At 30 to 35 years old, copper pipe walls reach the stage where localized pitting corrosion produces recurring pinhole failures. Multiple pinhole leaks in different locations over a short period is the signal that the corrosion is systemic rather than isolated, and that a broader assessment is warranted.
For most Westfield homes, a tankless water heater is worth evaluating when replacing an aging tank unit. Tankless systems deliver continuous hot water on demand, eliminate standby heat loss, and have a service life of 20-plus years versus 10 to 12 for a standard tank. We are a Navien NSS certified installer and one of the only plumbers in North Fulton to offer a 10-year parts and labor warranty on Navien tankless installations. A conversion involves gas line sizing, venting, and in some cases an electrical upgrade — we handle the full project from assessment through installation and permit.
