West Milton is a village in Miami County, along the Stillwater River northwest of Dayton, a small, established community with a historic downtown, a scenic waterfall, and surrounding farm country. Its village-and-country character is a natural fit for Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Dayton.
On time, every time, if we're not on time, we pay you $5 a minute, up to $300. We're your Miami Valley plumbing team, rated 4.8 stars.
Every West Milton home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Dayton-area service area, and each service links to the brand page with full details:
Around-the-clock emergency service dispatched for West Milton homeowners facing burst pipes, sewer backups, water heater failures, sump-pump failures, or flooded basements, day or night, weekends and holidays. Our plumbers are background-checked and drug-tested.
Sump pump installation, repair, and replacement, plus battery backups, basement drainage, and backwater valves. In the Miami Valley, where rivers, a high water table, and heavy spring rains push water toward foundations, a reliable sump system is what keeps a basement dry.
Water heater repair, replacement, and installation, including tankless systems, cold Ohio incoming water and very hard aquifer water scale tanks quickly, so flushing, replacement, and high-efficiency or tankless upgrades are popular.
Water softeners, filtration, and treatment for the very hard water (about 11 grains per gallon) that the limestone-rich Great Miami Buried Valley Aquifer delivers across the Dayton area, plus iron, sulfur, and sediment on the rural wells at the edges of the valley.
Frozen-pipe repair and prevention, Ohio's freeze/thaw winters bring frozen and burst pipes, and we thaw, repair, and help prevent them with insulation and winterizing of vulnerable runs in basements, crawlspaces, and garages.
Drain cleaning and hydro jetting with camera inspection, clearing grease, scale, and the tree roots that invade sewer laterals in the mature yards of the valley's older neighborhoods.
Sewer line repair and replacement and trenchless sewers, restoring and relining the aging clay and cast-iron sewer lines common under the Dayton area's older housing, often without digging up the whole yard.
Pipe repair and whole-home repiping, we replace the aging galvanized and cast-iron pipe found in the region's older homes, plus water service line and leaking pipe repair, and update old shutoff valves and appliance hookups to code.
Water pump service and pressure tanks for the rural homes on private wells at the western and outer edges of the valley, paired with the well-water treatment those homes need.
Gas line installation and repair for furnaces, water heaters, ranges, fireplaces, and outdoor grills and fire pits, installed and tested safely by licensed professionals.
Leak detection and repair for hidden leaks behind walls, under floors, and in supply lines, pinpointed and fixed before they cause water damage or mold.
Faucets, toilets, showers, sinks, bathtubs, and garbage disposals repaired and installed, plus outdoor plumbing and frost-proof hose bibs built for Ohio winters.
Commercial plumbing service for the shops, offices, restaurants, rentals, and institutions across the Dayton area and the Miami Valley.
West Milton's village-and-country character shapes its plumbing. Its historic village homes may have aging galvanized or cast-iron pipe worth repiping and old valves worth updating, while its surrounding farms and rural properties are on private wells and septic, so water-pump service and well-water treatment, plus septic-aware drain and sewer service, matter alongside municipal-water homes. Its position along the Stillwater River means high water tables where sump pumps and wet-basement protection are important.
West Milton homes are built on full basements and crawlspaces, as Ohio's frost line makes standard, not the slabs of warm climates, so sump pumps, basement plumbing, and freeze-safe lines matter. Winters bring freeze/thaw and burst-pipe risk, and country properties have outbuildings and long service runs to protect.
West Milton's village and country homes get our full range, sump pumps and wet-basement protection, well-water treatment and pump service, septic-aware drain and sewer work, water heater service, repiping, frozen-pipe service, and leak detection. Our 4.8-star team finishes most jobs in one visit.
we're the punctual plumbers, if we're not on time, we pay you $5 for every minute we're late, up to 60 minutes or $300, backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. See our guarantees.

Made appointment to pinpoint leak in shower head. Turned out it was the valve which needed replacing. Hugo was great. Ordered it and returned the following day to install. He also shared information about flushing out our tankless water heaters and addressing excessive pressure coming into the house. We are checking with the builder before we schedule those additional jobs to see if there is any warranty on our home.
Mark Katzman
Hugo came on time. Fixed problem.

Angi recommended Benjamin Franklin Plumbing with a 5-star rating. Repairman, Wilson did a great job. We had a leak in a waterline in the front yard. Excellent service. He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked in a timely manner. Afterwards, he cleaned up the work site and did a safety inspection. I would definitely recommend this company and Wilson 😃

★★★★★ Exceptional service from Ethan and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Lisbon! I called just before closing and they had someone out to my home first thing the next morning. Ethan was fantastic - very polite, professional, and efficient. Pricing was very upfront before any service was provided, so there were no surprises. The job was completed within an hour! Exceptional customer service from start to finish - I also spoke to the office manager and everybody was very polite. It’s GREAT to have and know this company is serving the North Country! Thank you! Highly recommend!

We were very blessed to have such an expert as Mike come to our house to troubleshoot our hot water heater. The man is a consummate professional, has decades of experience, knew exactly what he was doing, did what he needed to do, and we couldn't be more pleased to have had this absolute expert come to evaluate our water heater. As soon as we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He'll be back in 2 days to replace the hot water heater. Thank you so much!

Great! Andrew was friendly and knowledgeable. Came out an hour after I called and got my water line fixed up. He also let me know how to protect it from future problems. I'm a happy customer
Justin Faulkner
Great communication when trying to schedule and when in route. Answered my questions and explained options before starting. Completed the work, verified it was fixed and cleaned the area when he was done. (Kitchen sink clog - more than 25’ from the sink)
William Whitehouse
Justin did a great job unclogging my kitchen sink. I tried to do it myself and evidently it went up the vent at the T instead of going down into the clog. Hopefully it will not clogged again but if it does and I can't get it I will be calling again. This is the 2nd time I've used Ben Franklin Plumbing and am happy the the fast response and courtesy of the plumbers. I recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing to anyone I know needing a plumber.

Jordan is amazing! He went out of his way to get the job done. Professional top-notch the best I’ve seen in a long time I would recommend and make sure you ask for Jordan.M
Many rural properties are. We service water pumps and pressure tanks, treat well water for hardness, iron, and sediment, and provide septic-aware service, alongside municipal-water village homes.
High water tables near the Stillwater River, plus heavy spring rain, push water against foundations. A sump pump with a battery backup and drainage keeps things dry, we can assess and install.
Older village homes may have aging galvanized or cast iron and old valves. We camera-inspect and advise honestly.
Yes. We serve Miami County with stocked trucks so we can finish most jobs in one visit.
