24/7 Emergency Plumbing

Around-the-clock emergency service dispatched for Sharpes homeowners facing burst or leaking pipes, slab leaks, sewer backups, water heater failures, or no-water situations. We are available day or night, weekends and holidays.

Water Treatment, Softeners & Filtration
Water softeners, filtration, and reverse-osmosis systems for the Space Coast's hard aquifer water, cutting the scale that ruins water heaters, fixtures, and appliances. We address the iron staining and sulfur “rotten-egg” odor common in the region's municipal supply and private wells. Ask about our free water testing.
Whole-Home Repiping & Pipe Repair
Pipe repair and whole-home repiping is a Space Coast specialty. We replace aging galvanized, corroded copper prone to pinhole leaks, the failure-prone cast-iron drain lines in older Florida homes, and 1980s–90s polybutylene, all worn faster by hard water and salt air, plus water service line and leaking pipe repair.
Slab Leak & Leak Detection
Slab leak detection and repair, plus non-destructive leak detection and leak repair, vital under the concrete slab foundations of Florida homes. Hidden leaks and copper pinhole leaks waste water and threaten the home.
Water Heaters & Tankless
Water heater repair, replacement, and installation, including tankless systems and recirculating hot-water setups. Hard, mineral-rich Florida water scales and shortens water heater life, making yearly flushing, replacement, and tankless upgrades popular.
Sewer Line Repair & Replacement
Sewer line repair and replacement for aging and root-clogged laterals, often with minimal digging to protect yards and landscaping.
Drain Cleaning & Hydro Jetting
Drain cleaning, clogged-drain clearing, and hydro jetting with camera inspection, clearing grease, scale, and roots from Space Coast drain and sewer lines.
Gas Lines
Gas line installation and repair for water heaters, ranges, pool heaters, and outdoor kitchens, installed and tested safely by licensed professionals.
Pumps & Water Systems
Water pump service for well and rural properties, plus sump pump service for the low-lying, high-water-table coast.
Fixtures, Outdoor & Disposals
Faucets, toilets, showers, sinks, bathtubs, and garbage disposals repaired and installed, plus outdoor plumbing for hose bibs, irrigation, pool equipment, and outdoor showers, corrosion-resistant for the salt-air coast.
Plumbing Repairs & Installation
Expert plumbing repairs, inspection, and installation for homes and businesses of every age across the Space Coast.

Sharpes's mainland setting shapes its plumbing. Its established homes rely on the region's hard aquifer water, prone to scale, iron staining, and a sulfur “rotten-egg” odor. Softeners, iron and sulfur filtration, and RO are valuable upgrades (ask about our free water testing). The area's older homes commonly have aging galvanized, corroded copper prone to pinhole leaks, failure-prone cast-iron drain lines, or polybutylene worth repiping, and some properties near the river may be on wells.

Sharpes's homes sit on concrete slab foundations, with some raised construction near the river and in flood zones, not basements. Slab-leak detection and repair matter. The low-lying riverside setting brings a high water table and drainage concerns. Salt air off the Indian River adds corrosion, and hurricane season brings storm and flood readiness.

Brennie Brackett

Made appointment to pinpoint leak in shower head. Turned out it was the valve which needed replacing. Hugo was great. Ordered it and returned the following day to install. He also shared information about flushing out our tankless water heaters and addressing excessive pressure coming into the house. We are checking with the builder before we schedule those additional jobs to see if there is any warranty on our home.

Mark Katzman

Hugo came on time. Fixed problem.

Donna

Angi recommended Benjamin Franklin Plumbing with a 5-star rating. Repairman, Wilson did a great job. We had a leak in a waterline in the front yard. Excellent service. He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked in a timely manner. Afterwards, he cleaned up the work site and did a safety inspection. I would definitely recommend this company and Wilson 😃

★★★★★ Exceptional service from Ethan and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Lisbon! I called just before closing and they had someone out to my home first thing the next morning. Ethan was fantastic - very polite, professional, and efficient. Pricing was very upfront before any service was provided, so there were no surprises. The job was completed within an hour! Exceptional customer service from start to finish - I also spoke to the office manager and everybody was very polite. It’s GREAT to have and know this company is serving the North Country! Thank you! Highly recommend!

Jim O'Callaghan

We were very blessed to have such an expert as Mike come to our house to troubleshoot our hot water heater. The man is a consummate professional, has decades of experience, knew exactly what he was doing, did what he needed to do, and we couldn't be more pleased to have had this absolute expert come to evaluate our water heater. As soon as we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He'll be back in 2 days to replace the hot water heater. Thank you so much!

William Rosshirt

Great! Andrew was friendly and knowledgeable. Came out an hour after I called and got my water line fixed up. He also let me know how to protect it from future problems. I'm a happy customer

Justin Faulkner

Great communication when trying to schedule and when in route. Answered my questions and explained options before starting. Completed the work, verified it was fixed and cleaned the area when he was done. (Kitchen sink clog - more than 25’ from the sink)

William Whitehouse

Justin did a great job unclogging my kitchen sink. I tried to do it myself and evidently it went up the vent at the T instead of going down into the clog. Hopefully it will not clogged again but if it does and I can't get it I will be calling again. This is the 2nd time I've used Ben Franklin Plumbing and am happy the the fast response and courtesy of the plumbers. I recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing to anyone I know needing a plumber.

N Peterson

Chris is very upbeat and personable. He showed up on time and was very knowledgeable and got everything done the same day that we needed repaired and replaced. I’m very pleased with his work and would highly recommend Chris for any future plumbing projects.

Jorge Hernandez

Jordan is amazing! He went out of his way to get the job done. Professional top-notch the best I’ve seen in a long time I would recommend and make sure you ask for Jordan.M

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Sharpes water leave scale and smell?

The region's hard aquifer water causes scale, iron staining, and a sulfur odor. A softener plus iron/sulfur filtration and RO fixes it. We offer free water testing and install the right system.

Should I repipe my older Sharpes home?

Older homes often have aging galvanized, corroded copper (prone to pinhole leaks), cast iron, or polybutylene. Repiping restores pressure and water quality; we inspect and advise honestly.

Is my riverside home on a well?

Some properties near the river are. We service well pumps and well-water treatment alongside municipal-water homes.

What are the signs of a slab leak?

Warm floor spots, high water bills, low pressure, or running-water sounds with everything off. Our specialists pinpoint and repair slab leaks with minimal disruption.
