Named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024!
Richmond Hill is one of the fastest-growing and most sought-after communities in the Savannah metro. It’s an affluent Bryan County city south of Savannah, known for excellent schools, master-planned neighborhoods, and easy access to the coast and the Ogeechee River. With its wave of new construction and a few rural properties on its edges, Richmond Hill has a modern plumbing profile. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Savannah Metro is the on-time team to serve it.
On time, every time: if there's any delay, it's you we pay.
Every Richmond Hill home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Savannah metro service area, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:
Richmond Hill relies entirely on the Floridan Aquifer, drawing its water from Bryan County's production wells. The groundwater is moderately hard and mineral-heavy and can carry a sulfur (“rotten egg”) odor and iron. This makes softeners and filtration among the most valuable upgrades a homeowner can make to protect water heaters and fixtures and improve taste and smell. The housing is largely new construction, built on concrete slabs with modern piping and, increasingly, tankless water heaters.
Those newer systems are reliable, but slab foundations mean any under-slab leak calls for our non-destructive detection. Water heaters from the building boom are aging into service. A few rural-edge properties rely on private wells. The area's growth, including the nearby Hyundai Metaplant, keeps new-construction service in demand, and the low, coastal terrain near the Ogeechee River makes drainage worthwhile. Occasional winter freezes can still threaten exposed pipes.

Richmond Hill's wave of new, amenity-rich homes is squarely our sweet spot. We install softeners for the hard, sulfur-prone aquifer water. We also provide tankless and water heater service, slab leak detection, and fixture work. Plus, we offer well service for rural-edge properties. Our stocked trucks resolve most calls on the first visit.
Even new Richmond Hill homes benefit from a seasonal routine. First, add a softener and filtration for the hard, sulfur-prone water. Then, flush the water heater yearly or descale a tankless unit. Finally, watch for slab-leak signs. Check drainage before storm season, and protect exposed pipes during the occasional winter freeze.

Family of 5 with three daughters, so our water gets a serious workout 😂. We had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Intown Atlanta come out to look at our home and help us understand where we could make things more efficient. They gave us some really useful advice, especially around improving our water quality and a few things we’d never even thought about. Friendly, knowledgeable and zero pressure. Really glad we found these guys. We’ll definitely be using them when we’re ready to make some upgrades!

We had an amazing experience with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing! We had a bit of an emergency (I'll spare details, was gross) and needed someone out quick to resolve. They came same day and were able to determine pipework hadn't been connected properly during recent work we had done. I'm really glad we found them! Local team, quick to respond, and took great care in our home. Would definitely recommend them!

Keith came promptly, worked quickly but we paid $709 for a water shutoff, and a small piece of PVC pipe under our sink that took 40 minutes to do. $210 of that was because it was an emergency visit.
Kelly Harter
Tyler was helpful, courteous, and efficient. He explained the process in terms we could easily understand and worked with us to find the most convenient time to return to complete the job. We would definitely feel comfortable having him work for us again.

Chase was exceptional!! Jared was so helpful as well!! This company came out to check our heating and cooling systems, clean our hot water heater, and patiently answered a bunch of our plumbing and duct-cleaning questions. As owners of an aging home, we truly trust them and deeply value their expert opinions on what updates we need. The level of professionalism cannot be surpassed! From wearing booties so they don’t drag dirt into the house to sending texts with pictures of the technicians before they arrive, every detail made us feel safe and cared for. We trust them completely with our home, will definitely continue doing business with them, and are already recommending them to all our friends. They are simply the best in the area!

The service was timely and professional. I really appreciate that Chuck treated my home with respect. He not only wiped his feet, but he put on booties to protect my floors. He did a thorough inspection before he gave me the estimate for the service needed. Because of his courteous explanation of what was needed to get the job done correctly, I would highly recommend him.

Again, professional and courteous! Brynt was very knowledgeable and efficient- fixed us right up! Angel C was in fact a literal angel. He was extremely kind and professional. Up front about costs and quotes. This was my first time having to hire someone for an home repair and was very nervous about the process but he was amazing. I will definitely be a returning customer ( if I have to be ) and will be requesting Angel! Seriously cannot thank him enough!
Richmond Hill relies entirely on the Floridan Aquifer through Bryan County's wells. The water is moderately hard and can carry a sulfur odor and iron, so many homeowners add a softener and filtration. We test and advise.
That's hydrogen sulfide, common in coastal Georgia's aquifer water, often with iron and hardness. After a water test, we install the right filtration or treatment to remove it.
Even new homes develop worn fixtures, aging water heaters, and the occasional slab leak, and most benefit from a softener for the hard, sulfur-prone water. Early attention prevents bigger problems.
Yes. Some properties on Richmond Hill's edges are on private wells, and we service well pumps, pressure tanks, and treatment.
