A burst pipe is every homeowner’s worst nightmare, especially if it happens at night or on the weekend. Don’t fret—our expert plumbers at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® offer emergency pipe repair services when you need it most. Our team is available 24/7 to help. Pipe repair is an urgent plumbing issue to prevent contamination and lasting water damage. Broken pipes can happen all year round, not just during the winter. While frozen pipes are definitely a threat during the cold months, obstructions, corrosion, and tree roots can cause problems at any time. Not all broken pipes are as dramatic as a burst pipe. Other signs of pipe damage include reduced water pressure, water discoloration or water leaking. If you notice any of these, contact us at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® right away. Our team works quickly to fix your pipes quickly, minimizing as much water damage as possible. Emergency pipe repairs may include a temporary solution like a patch, while our experts determine if you need pipe replacements, and if so, how much. You can count on us to work fast at restoring your plumbing and treating your home as if it were our own.
Plumbing is often forgotten about until it stops working as it should. Just because you can’t see your pipes doesn’t mean you should ignore them. Most pipes have a lifespan of 40 years or more. Plumbing systems are built to be durable and withstand repeated daily use. However, over time pieces and parts can break down, especially if your pipes are decades old. If your home has galvanized iron or steel pipes, you may be experiencing corrosion and rust affecting your water supply. Repiping your home doesn’t have to be a headache. Our expert licensed plumbers at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® making repiping your property as easy as possible. We provide transparent pricing, honest assessments, and customer-focused experience. Our team can help you decide on the right piping materials for your home and climate in Plymouth.

Would very much recommend him and the company. P.S. They gave us a military discount which was very much appreciated.

Dustin found a good spot to locate the water conditioner without needing lots of extra piping, and out of the way I'm my pantry. He was respectful, friendly and efficient. What I needed and had to search for was the serial # to register my purchase. I'm old school; would have appreciated some hardcopy info including serial number, filter changes, filter number, etc. I think that stuff all left with Dustin. I should have asked.

Jonathan was a delight. He let me know what was going on step by step. My pipe was frozen, the temps were freezing, he was pleasant and had a smile on his face. The price I paid also included a down payment to schedule a return to insulate the pipe against future freezes. He was a blessing!
To keep your water heater running smoothly in Plymouth, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Plymouth home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Plymouth to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.
We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Plymouth home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.
Older homes in Plymouth often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.
To get your plumbing ready for winter in Plymouth, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.
Signs of a damaged sewer line in your home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
