Phoenix is the heart of the Valley of the Sun and the fifth-largest city in the country, a vast Sonoran Desert metropolis stretching from historic downtown and midtown neighborhoods to endless suburbs beneath Camelback, South Mountain, and the surrounding ranges. As our home base, Phoenix is where Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® has served neighbors for over 30 years, and we're the on-time team the city counts on.
We carry one of the most trusted names in American plumbing, a brand named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024, but the people answering your call are your neighbors, based right here in Phoenix with a 4.8-star rating across nearly 2,000 reviews. We're The Punctual Plumber: “if there's any delay, it's you we pay!”™
Every Phoenix home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Valley of the Sun service area, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:
Around-the-clock emergency service dispatched for Phoenix homeowners facing burst or leaking pipes, slab leaks, sewer backups, water heater failures, or no-water situations, day or night, weekends and holidays.
Water softeners, filtration, and reverse-osmosis systems for the Valley's very hard water, cutting the scale that ruins water heaters, fixtures, and appliances, and addressing the arsenic, chromium, and other trace contaminants found in the region's Colorado River (CAP), Salt River Project (SRP), and groundwater blend.
Water heater repair, replacement, and installation and tankless systems, Phoenix's very hard water scales and shortens the life of water heaters (cutting efficiency dramatically), so flushing, repair, replacement, and tankless upgrades are among our most-requested services.
Expert diagnosis and repair of leaks, fixtures, and supply problems, backed by professional inspection and diagnosis, with our trucks stocked to fix most issues in a single visit.
Pipe repair and whole-home repiping for pipe scaled and corroded by hard water and the aging or polybutylene systems in older homes, plus water service line and leaking pipe repair.
Slab leak detection and repair, plus non-destructive leak detection and leak repair, finding hidden leaks under slabs and in buried lines before they waste precious water or damage a home.
Drain cleaning and hydro jetting with camera inspection, clearing scale, grease, mineral buildup, and roots from Valley drain and sewer lines.
Sewer line repair and replacement and trenchless options for aging and root-clogged laterals, often with minimal digging in the hard caliche ground.
Gas line installation and repair for water heaters, ranges, pool heaters, outdoor kitchens, and fire pits, installed and tested safely by licensed professionals.
Faucets, toilets, showers, sinks, bathtubs, and garbage disposals repaired and installed, plus outdoor plumbing for hose bibs, irrigation, and desert landscaping.
Phoenix's enormous range of homes shapes its plumbing, but one issue unites them all: very hard water. The city's blend of Colorado River (CAP), Salt and Verde River (SRP), and groundwater is among the hardest tap water in the country, leaving white scale on fixtures, spotting glassware, and building up inside pipes and water heaters, so softeners, reverse osmosis, and whole-home filtration are the most valuable upgrades a Phoenix homeowner can make, and they help address the arsenic, chromium, and chlorite found in parts of the supply. The historic and midtown neighborhoods hold older homes with aging galvanized, cast-iron, and lead-era pipe worth repiping, while midcentury and later homes may have polybutylene worth watching.
Phoenix's homes sit on concrete slabs over caliche hardpan, not basements, so slab-leak detection and repair are a defining local service, and finding hidden leaks conserves precious desert water. Hard-water scale makes water heater replacement and flushing constant, mature trees and aging laterals mean sewer and trenchless work, gas-line service supports water heaters and outdoor kitchens, and the summer monsoon brings storm and flash-flood drainage concerns.
As the hometown team based right here in Phoenix, we know the city's very hard water, its historic homes, and its slab foundations, water treatment and RO, water heater service, repiping and lead-era line replacement, slab-leak detection, gas lines, and sewer and trenchless work. Our stocked trucks fix most issues in one visit, and our 4.8-star reviews reflect 30+ years of trusted service.
“if there's any delay, it's you we pay!”™, if we're not on time, we pay you $5 for every minute we're late, up to 60 minutes or $300. See our guarantees.

background-checked, drug-tested professionals, licensed in Arizona (ROC 200353), with liability coverage and workers' compensation, and backed by a brand named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024.
Phoenix plumbing follows the desert calendar. Install and maintain a softener and RO system to fight the very hard water; flush the water heater yearly (more often here) to clear scale; watch older homes for repiping needs; before monsoon season, have sewer lines scoped and drainage checked; and in a rare valley cold snap, insulate exposed pipes.

Made appointment to pinpoint leak in shower head. Turned out it was the valve which needed replacing. Hugo was great. Ordered it and returned the following day to install. He also shared information about flushing out our tankless water heaters and addressing excessive pressure coming into the house. We are checking with the builder before we schedule those additional jobs to see if there is any warranty on our home.
Mark Katzman
Hugo came on time. Fixed problem.

Angi recommended Benjamin Franklin Plumbing with a 5-star rating. Repairman, Wilson did a great job. We had a leak in a waterline in the front yard. Excellent service. He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked in a timely manner. Afterwards, he cleaned up the work site and did a safety inspection. I would definitely recommend this company and Wilson 😃

★★★★★ Exceptional service from Ethan and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Lisbon! I called just before closing and they had someone out to my home first thing the next morning. Ethan was fantastic - very polite, professional, and efficient. Pricing was very upfront before any service was provided, so there were no surprises. The job was completed within an hour! Exceptional customer service from start to finish - I also spoke to the office manager and everybody was very polite. It’s GREAT to have and know this company is serving the North Country! Thank you! Highly recommend!

We were very blessed to have such an expert as Mike come to our house to troubleshoot our hot water heater. The man is a consummate professional, has decades of experience, knew exactly what he was doing, did what he needed to do, and we couldn't be more pleased to have had this absolute expert come to evaluate our water heater. As soon as we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He'll be back in 2 days to replace the hot water heater. Thank you so much!

Great! Andrew was friendly and knowledgeable. Came out an hour after I called and got my water line fixed up. He also let me know how to protect it from future problems. I'm a happy customer
Justin Faulkner
Great communication when trying to schedule and when in route. Answered my questions and explained options before starting. Completed the work, verified it was fixed and cleaned the area when he was done. (Kitchen sink clog - more than 25’ from the sink)
William Whitehouse
Justin did a great job unclogging my kitchen sink. I tried to do it myself and evidently it went up the vent at the T instead of going down into the clog. Hopefully it will not clogged again but if it does and I can't get it I will be calling again. This is the 2nd time I've used Ben Franklin Plumbing and am happy the the fast response and courtesy of the plumbers. I recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing to anyone I know needing a plumber.

Jordan is amazing! He went out of his way to get the job done. Professional top-notch the best I’ve seen in a long time I would recommend and make sure you ask for Jordan.M
Phoenix blends Colorado River (CAP), Salt and Verde River (SRP), and groundwater, among the hardest tap water in the country. It scales fixtures and destroys water heaters. A softener plus reverse osmosis for drinking water is the standard fix; we test and install the right system, and can address arsenic and other contaminants.
Older downtown, midtown, and Arcadia-area homes often have corroding galvanized, cast-iron, or lead-era pipe, and midcentury-and-later homes may have polybutylene. Repiping restores pressure and prevents leaks; we inspect and recommend honestly, with care for a historic home.
Warm spots on the floor, unexplained high water bills, low pressure, or the sound of running water with everything off. Phoenix's slab foundations make these a real concern; we detect and repair them with minimal disruption.
Yes to both. We install and repair gas lines for water heaters and outdoor kitchens, and repair or replace sewer lines with trenchless methods that spare your yard.
Yes, our emergency plumbers answer around the clock, every day, from our home base right here in the city, backed by the On-Time Guarantee.
