Named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024!
Old River-Winfree is a rural Chambers County community east of Baytown. It spreads across farmland, bayous, and acreage near Old River and the upper reaches of Trinity Bay. It's country living, and country plumbing: exactly what Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Baytown and Dayton is built to handle.
We bring big-league service to this rural community, on time and guaranteed: if there's any delay, it's you we pay.
Every Old River-Winfree home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Baytown and Dayton service area, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:
Old River-Winfree's rural character means many homes rely on private Gulf Coast Aquifer wells and septic systems rather than city utilities. Well-pump and pressure-tank service is a core local need and the area's groundwater is often hard and can carry iron or a sulfur odor. Nearer the coast, the water has some salinity, so treatment after a water test is among the most-requested work to protect pipes and fixtures and improve taste and smell.
Septic systems are the norm on these larger lots, shaping how we handle drain and waste-line issues, and homes range from older farmhouses to newer rural builds and manufactured homes. The low, flat ground near the water brings flood risk in heavy rain. The expansive clay soil can shift slabs and cause slab leaks, and the occasional hard freeze can burst exposed and long pipe runs.
The communities of Old River and Winfree along FM 565 and FM 1409 · Rural acreage toward Cove and Mont Belvieu · Properties near Old River and Trinity Bay · The farms and bayous surrounding the area · The homes across Old River-Winfree
Remote, rural homes deserve the same prompt, professional plumbing as any subdivision. That's our promise to Old River-Winfree: genuine well-and-septic expertise, treatment for hard and iron- or sulfur-bearing water, and slab leak detection. Our stocked trucks finish most jobs in one trip, which matters this far out.
Country homeownership rewards routine. Test your well water periodically and keep treatment and the pressure tank maintained. If you're on septic, mind what enters the system and act on slow drains. Before storm season, check low-area drainage, and before winter, protect exposed and long pipe runs from the occasional hard freeze.

We had Christian from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing service come out to fix a leak in our home. He was patient, explained the procedure thoroughly, on time, and cleaned up the mess. We were pleased with his work.

Love the updates! Everything works perfectly!. The family is so thankful for the new complete water pipes lines, the new waterless tank, the toilet tank repair and most of all the new tub and tiles! The sink doesn’t backup anymore and the water taste so so much better! The metal taste is gone! The toilets don’t flush themselves anymore and the rattling of the pipes doesn’t exist anymore! Their master plumber is awesome; he’s worth every penny spent and more! Gerald, Ryan and team did beyond our family expectations! 5 stars

José was very knowledgeable. He verified that the low flow problem with my old faucet was due to the faucet and not in the house plumbing before installing the new faucet that we had bought a couple of days earlier. My wife and I preferred the design of the new faucet, and José eliminated our worry that the new faucet might not fix the low flow problem. The new faucet is leak free and works great.

Christian our house to diagnose an issue. The water department called and said we were losing 1 gallon per minute of water, continuous use. Christian Came twice with one service charge. He discovered That we had two toilets that were each causing continuous usage. Together, the two toilets were equaling A loss of 1 gallon a minute! For a fair price He fixed both toilets And eliminated the issue. He was polite, caring, honest and prompt!

Johnathan has been outstanding so far as still have final phase to go. He grasped concept of what we wanted and helped bring it into reality. Johnathan has communicated well and made sure we understood each step as work has progressed. Also kudos to Zach and Tony for their hard work in getting it done! In a follow up review Johnathan met to check on work done so we could move on to Step 2. Details were discussed, and we are moving to the next phase. Thanks to Johnathan for continuing to work with us and guide our project successfully. Very satisfied to date.

Most homes here are on private wells and septic. We service well pumps, pressure tanks, treatment, and septic-aware drains. We really do drive out this far.
Yes. That usually means hydrogen sulfide or iron, common in area well water along with hardness. After a water test, we install the right treatment to remove it.
Yes. A failed pump means no water, so we prioritize it, diagnosing and repairing or replacing the pump, pressure tank, and switch.
Yes. Expansive clay shifts slabs and stresses the pipes within. We pinpoint slab leaks with non-destructive detection.
Yes, around the clock, every day, even out in rural Chambers County, with no after-hours fees.
