Great experience with this company and technician Dave!-- We had to do a waste and overflow repair in our bathtub when our drain shoe got broken. Our house is on a concrete slab and we were told by a previous company that we would probably need to replace our whole tub. So we called around to try to find another option. It was already later in the day, but Benjamin Franklin Plumbing sent someone within an hour. Dave came out and said he could fix it no problem. He had to get some parts, but was able to come back first thing the morning after and had it done in less than 2 hours. He showed us everything he did and that there was no leaks. Very kind and courteous. He even cleaned up before leaving.

I’ve been a customer of Trey’s for decades and he is nothing short of awesome. He is skilled at diagnosing exactly what the issue is and rectifying it. He is not one of those guys that sells you a bunch of unnecessary nonsense to make a buck. He is definitely about great service and long lasting relationships. What more could you ask for?

Tommy was giving the neighbors a quote and I flagged him down and asked how much to change toilet shut offs, he came right then and was able to do the job on the spot! Polite and quick. Ask for Tommy, he's your guy!

Leave the home right away and avoid using switches, phones, or anything that could spark. Once you are in a safe place, contact your gas provider or emergency services. After the area is cleared as safe, a licensed plumber can inspect the gas line connections and make repairs as needed.
A running toilet is usually caused by a worn flapper, an improperly adjusted float, or a fill valve that is not sealing. If you hear water refilling every few minutes, it can waste a lot of water quickly. Replacing the internal parts is often a straightforward toilet repair, but if the toilet is older or the shutoff valve is stuck, it is smart to have a plumber handle it.
Most drips come from a worn cartridge, washer, or O-ring inside the faucet. Ignoring it can lead to mineral buildup, staining, and higher water use over time. If the faucet is older or the leak is at the base, a plumber can confirm whether a repair makes sense or if a replacement will be more reliable.
This can happen when a pressure-balance valve is worn, the cartridge is failing, or other fixtures in the home turn on and change the water flow. If the temperature swings are frequent, a plumber can inspect the shower valve and replace the cartridge so the water stays steady and safe.
A cleanout is an access point on your drain line that lets a plumber clear blockages and run a camera inspection without removing a toilet or opening walls. Knowing where it is can save time during a clog or backup. Many homes have a cleanout outside near the foundation, but the exact location varies.
Backflow protection helps prevent contaminated water from flowing back into your home’s drinking water lines. Homes with irrigation systems and certain outdoor connections may need an anti-siphon device or a backflow preventer, depending on local requirements. If you are in Muenster or elsewhere in Cooke County, a plumber can help you identify what you have and what your setup needs.
The biggest culprits are grease, food scraps, coffee grounds, and starchy foods that stick to the pipe walls. Use a sink strainer, avoid pouring grease down the drain, and run plenty of hot water after each use. If clogs keep coming back, it can point to buildup deeper in the line, and a plumber like Benjamin Franklin Plumbing can clear it safely and check for underlying issues.
