Lincoln County stretches from the historic county seat of Lincolnton south to the fast-growing Lake Norman communities of Denver and eastern Lincoln County,a mix of small-town foothills, farm country, and booming lakeside suburbs on the northwest side of the Charlotte region. From the old mill town to the lake, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Hickory serves it all.
On time, every time,if we're not on time, we pay you $5 a minute, up to $300. We're your foothills-and-lake plumbing team, rated 4.7 stars.
Every Lincoln County home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire foothills service area, and each service links to the brand page with full details:
Around-the-clock emergency service dispatched for Lincoln County homeowners facing burst pipes, sewer backups, water heater failures, and no-water well problems, day or night, weekends and holidays.
Water softeners, filtration, and treatment for the hard water that's prevalent across the Catawba Valley and foothills, plus the iron, sulfur odor, acidity (low pH), sediment, and radon common in the region's crystalline-bedrock wells. A water test shows exactly what your home needs.
Pipe repair and whole-home repiping, the area's older furniture-town and mill homes often have aging galvanized, polybutylene, and corroded copper worth replacing, and acidic well water speeds corrosion, so we repipe, plus water service line and leaking pipe repair, including burst and frozen-pipe repair in winter.
Water heater repair, replacement, and installation, including tankless systems, cold foothills incoming water and hard-water scale work heaters hard, so flushing, replacement, and tankless upgrades are popular.
Sump pump installation and repair, plus crawlspace and basement drainage, foothills homes sit on crawlspaces and hillside basements where groundwater, seepage, and heavy rain collect, so a working sump system and dry crawlspace matter.
Well and water pump service and pressure tanks for the many rural homes across Wilkes, Alexander, Caldwell, Lincoln, and Catawba counties on private wells, paired with the well-water treatment those homes need.
Drain cleaning and hydro jetting with camera inspection, clearing grease, sediment, and the tree roots that invade sewer and septic lines under the region's mature hardwoods.
Sewer line repair and replacement and trenchless sewers, restoring aging sewer laterals and clearing root intrusions, often without digging up the whole yard.
Leak detection and slab leak repair, for the slab-on-grade and ranch homes in the mix here, plus pool leak detection, pinpointing hidden leaks before they cause damage.
Gas line installation and repair for water heaters, ranges, fireplaces, generators, and grills, plus boiler repair and installation for the older and mountain homes that use hydronic heat.
Faucets, toilets, showers, sinks, bathtubs, and garbage disposals repaired and installed, plus outdoor plumbing, pool pumps, and frost-proof hose bibs.
Commercial plumbing service for the furniture makers, shops, restaurants, offices, and businesses across the Catawba Valley and foothills.
Lincoln County's range shapes its plumbing. Historic Lincolnton and the county's older mill and farm homes often have aging galvanized, polybutylene, and corroded copper pipe worth repiping, while the fast-growing Lake Norman side (Denver, eastern Lincoln County) brings new-construction, remodel, and lake-home plumbing. Hard water is common, and rural homes across the county are on wells that carry iron, acidity, and sediment,so softeners, filtration, and well service matter countywide. Homes sit on crawlspaces, hillside basements, and slabs, so crawlspace moisture and sump pumps come into play, and lakefront properties on Lake Norman add their own needs.
Lincoln County homes are built on crawlspaces, hillside basements, and slab-on-grade,as the Piedmont makes standard, not the full basements of the north nor the slabs of the deep coast. Winters bring real freezes and the risk of burst and frozen pipes, and mature trees send roots into sewer and septic lines.
Lincoln County's towns, farms, and lake communities get our full range,hard-water treatment and softening, well and pump service, galvanized and polybutylene repiping, sump pumps and crawlspace water, water heater service, drain and sewer work with trenchless, new-construction and lake-home plumbing, and frozen-pipe service. Our 4.7-star team finishes most jobs in one visit.

fully licensed and insured, with plumbers answering the phone around the clock, vital when a pipe bursts, a well quits, or a water heater fails.
Lincoln County plumbing follows the Piedmont calendar. Have hard water tested and treated and, on a well, service the pump and treatment; before winter, insulate exposed pipes in crawlspaces and along exterior walls; flush the water heater against scale; and on the lake, handle seasonal and second-home needs.

Made appointment to pinpoint leak in shower head. Turned out it was the valve which needed replacing. Hugo was great. Ordered it and returned the following day to install. He also shared information about flushing out our tankless water heaters and addressing excessive pressure coming into the house. We are checking with the builder before we schedule those additional jobs to see if there is any warranty on our home.
Mark Katzman
Hugo came on time. Fixed problem.

Angi recommended Benjamin Franklin Plumbing with a 5-star rating. Repairman, Wilson did a great job. We had a leak in a waterline in the front yard. Excellent service. He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked in a timely manner. Afterwards, he cleaned up the work site and did a safety inspection. I would definitely recommend this company and Wilson 😃

★★★★★ Exceptional service from Ethan and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Lisbon! I called just before closing and they had someone out to my home first thing the next morning. Ethan was fantastic - very polite, professional, and efficient. Pricing was very upfront before any service was provided, so there were no surprises. The job was completed within an hour! Exceptional customer service from start to finish - I also spoke to the office manager and everybody was very polite. It’s GREAT to have and know this company is serving the North Country! Thank you! Highly recommend!

We were very blessed to have such an expert as Mike come to our house to troubleshoot our hot water heater. The man is a consummate professional, has decades of experience, knew exactly what he was doing, did what he needed to do, and we couldn't be more pleased to have had this absolute expert come to evaluate our water heater. As soon as we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He'll be back in 2 days to replace the hot water heater. Thank you so much!

Great! Andrew was friendly and knowledgeable. Came out an hour after I called and got my water line fixed up. He also let me know how to protect it from future problems. I'm a happy customer
Justin Faulkner
Great communication when trying to schedule and when in route. Answered my questions and explained options before starting. Completed the work, verified it was fixed and cleaned the area when he was done. (Kitchen sink clog - more than 25’ from the sink)
William Whitehouse
Justin did a great job unclogging my kitchen sink. I tried to do it myself and evidently it went up the vent at the T instead of going down into the clog. Hopefully it will not clogged again but if it does and I can't get it I will be calling again. This is the 2nd time I've used Ben Franklin Plumbing and am happy the the fast response and courtesy of the plumbers. I recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing to anyone I know needing a plumber.
