Named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024!
Highlands is an established community on the San Jacinto River just west of Baytown in Harris County. It’s a tight-knit, working-class area with deep roots, riverside neighborhoods, and a mix of older and newer homes. Its river setting and mature housing give Highlands a distinctive plumbing profile, and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Baytown and Dayton serves it on time, every time.
On time, every time: if there's any delay, it's you we pay.
Every Highlands home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Baytown and Dayton service area, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:
Sitting along the San Jacinto River, Highlands faces real flood risk. Heavy rain and hurricanes have hit the area hard, so backwater valves, drainage, and sump pumps for low-lying lots matter here. Like the rest of the region, Highlands sits on expansive clay that shifts slab foundations and the pipes within them, making slab leaks common, while its older homes may carry aging galvanized or cast-iron lines worth repiping.
Highlands' water is hard, like the broader Baytown area, so softeners and filtration are worthwhile, and some properties on the rural edges rely on private wells and septic. Summers are hot and humid, driving heavy water use, and the occasional hard winter freeze can burst the uninsulated pipes common in a climate that rarely sees one.
The riverside neighborhoods along the San Jacinto River · Communities near Highlands' historic center and Wallisville Road · The areas toward Baytown and Lynchburg · Rural-edge properties on private wells · The homes across Highlands
Highlands' mix of riverside homes, older houses, and rural-edge properties fits our full range: flood protection, slab leak detection, repiping, softeners, and well service. We arrive on time and resolve most calls on the first visit, with up-front pricing on larger work.
Highlands' river setting makes storm readiness key. Before hurricane season, check drainage and any backwater valve given the San Jacinto's flood history. Before winter, insulate exposed pipes against the occasional hard freeze. Flush the water heater yearly for the hard water, and watch for slab leaks as the clay shifts.

We had Christian from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing service come out to fix a leak in our home. He was patient, explained the procedure thoroughly, on time, and cleaned up the mess. We were pleased with his work.

Love the updates! Everything works perfectly!. The family is so thankful for the new complete water pipes lines, the new waterless tank, the toilet tank repair and most of all the new tub and tiles! The sink doesn’t backup anymore and the water taste so so much better! The metal taste is gone! The toilets don’t flush themselves anymore and the rattling of the pipes doesn’t exist anymore! Their master plumber is awesome; he’s worth every penny spent and more! Gerald, Ryan and team did beyond our family expectations! 5 stars

José was very knowledgeable. He verified that the low flow problem with my old faucet was due to the faucet and not in the house plumbing before installing the new faucet that we had bought a couple of days earlier. My wife and I preferred the design of the new faucet, and José eliminated our worry that the new faucet might not fix the low flow problem. The new faucet is leak free and works great.

Christian our house to diagnose an issue. The water department called and said we were losing 1 gallon per minute of water, continuous use. Christian Came twice with one service charge. He discovered That we had two toilets that were each causing continuous usage. Together, the two toilets were equaling A loss of 1 gallon a minute! For a fair price He fixed both toilets And eliminated the issue. He was polite, caring, honest and prompt!

Johnathan has been outstanding so far as still have final phase to go. He grasped concept of what we wanted and helped bring it into reality. Johnathan has communicated well and made sure we understood each step as work has progressed. Also kudos to Zach and Tony for their hard work in getting it done! In a follow up review Johnathan met to check on work done so we could move on to Step 2. Details were discussed, and we are moving to the next phase. Thanks to Johnathan for continuing to work with us and guide our project successfully. Very satisfied to date.

Prompt, efficient, and effective,.Would definitely recommend
Yes. Highlands' position on the San Jacinto River raises flooding and sewer-backup risk. Backwater valves, good drainage, and sump pumps for low lots are wise defenses. We assess and install.
Expansive clay soil shifts with moisture and stresses the pipes inside your slab, causing slab leaks. We pinpoint them with non-destructive detection.
If it has corroding galvanized or failing cast-iron lines, repiping is a lasting fix. We inspect for rusty water, low pressure, and recurring leaks, and recommend honestly.
Yes. Some rural-edge properties are on private wells; we service well pumps, pressure tanks, and treatment.
Yes, around the clock, every day, with the On-Time Guarantee and no after-hours fees.
