Bennettsville is the seat of Marlboro County, a historic Pee Dee town near the North Carolina line, known for its antebellum and Victorian homes, tree-lined streets, and the surrounding cotton and soybean country of northeastern South Carolina. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Florence is the on-time team Bennettsville counts on.
We carry one of the most trusted names in American plumbing, a brand named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024, but the people answering your call are your Pee Dee neighbors, rated 4.9 stars across more than a thousand reviews. We're the punctual plumbers: if there's any delay, it's you we pay, up to $300.
Every Bennettsville home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Pee Dee service area, and each service links to the brand page with full details:
Around-the-clock emergency service dispatched for Bennettsville homeowners facing burst pipes, sewer backups, water heater failures, and no-water well problems, day or night, weekends and holidays.
Water treatment, filtration, and conditioning, including whole-home filtration and water conditioning systems, for the iron staining, sulfur “rotten-egg” odor, acidic low-pH water, sediment, and hardness common on the Black Creek and Middendorf aquifer wells across the Pee Dee, plus nitrate concerns on farm properties. A water test shows exactly what your home needs.
Water heater repair, replacement, and installation, including tankless systems and hot-water recirculation pumps, iron and mineral content scale tanks quickly here, so flushing, replacement, and upgrades are popular.
Slab leak detection and repair and whole-home leak detection, many Pee Dee homes are built on concrete slabs, and acidic water can pin-hole copper lines under the slab, so we locate and repair hidden leaks before they cause damage.
Pipe repair and whole-home repiping, we replace aging galvanized, polybutylene, and acid-corroded copper found in the region's older homes, plus water service line and leaking pipe repair.
Drain cleaning and hydro jetting with camera inspection, clearing grease, sediment, and the tree roots that invade sewer and septic lines in the mature yards and wooded lots common out here.
Sewer line repair and replacement and drain and sewer service, restoring aging sewer laterals for homes on public sewer, and clearing and servicing the building lines that run to septic systems on rural properties.
Gas line installation and repair for water heaters, ranges, fireplaces, generators, and outdoor grills and fire pits, installed and tested safely by licensed professionals.
Sump pump and crawlspace drainage service, for the damp crawlspaces and low-lying, flood-prone lots of the Pee Dee, where heavy rain and river flooding push water where it doesn't belong.
Leak detection and water line repair, pinpointing hidden leaks behind walls, under slabs, and in yard service lines before they run up your bill or undermine your home.
Faucets, toilets, showers, sinks, bathtubs, and garbage disposals repaired and installed, plus outdoor plumbing and hose bibs.
Frozen-pipe repair and prevention, the Pee Dee's mild winters still bring the occasional hard freeze that bursts exposed pipes in crawlspaces, garages, and exterior walls, and we thaw, repair, and help you prevent it.
Bennettsville's plumbing is shaped by its historic homes and Pee Dee water. Its many older and historic homes commonly have aging galvanized, polybutylene, and acid-corroded copper pipe worth repiping, old fixtures worth updating, and sewer laterals worth inspecting, while its surrounding farms and rural properties are on private wells and septic systems. Well water here, drawn from the Black Creek and Middendorf aquifers, tends to be high in iron (orange staining), can carry sulfur odor, and is often acidic, a low pH that corrodes pipe, so water testing and treatment are central needs.
Bennettsville homes are built on slabs and crawlspaces, as the Coastal Plain makes standard, not the basements of colder markets, so slab-leak detection and crawlspace moisture and drainage matter, not basement sump systems. Summers are hot and humid; winters are mild with the occasional hard freeze that can burst an exposed pipe.
Bennettsville's historic and rural homes get our full range, well and municipal water treatment, slab leak detection, galvanized and polybutylene repiping, water heater service, drain cleaning, sewer and septic-aware line service, gas lines, and crawlspace water. Our 4.9-star team finishes most jobs in one visit.

Bennettsville plumbing follows the Pee Dee calendar. Made appointment to pinpoint leak in shower head. Turned out it was the valve which needed replacing. Hugo was great. Ordered it and returned the following day to install. He also shared information about flushing out our tankless water heaters and addressing excessive pressure coming into the house. We are checking with the builder before we schedule those additional jobs to see if there is any warranty on our home.
Mark Katzman
Hugo came on time. Fixed problem.

Angi recommended Benjamin Franklin Plumbing with a 5-star rating. Repairman, Wilson did a great job. We had a leak in a waterline in the front yard. Excellent service. He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked in a timely manner. Afterwards, he cleaned up the work site and did a safety inspection. I would definitely recommend this company and Wilson 😃

★★★★★ Exceptional service from Ethan and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Lisbon! I called just before closing and they had someone out to my home first thing the next morning. Ethan was fantastic - very polite, professional, and efficient. Pricing was very upfront before any service was provided, so there were no surprises. The job was completed within an hour! Exceptional customer service from start to finish - I also spoke to the office manager and everybody was very polite. It’s GREAT to have and know this company is serving the North Country! Thank you! Highly recommend!

We were very blessed to have such an expert as Mike come to our house to troubleshoot our hot water heater. The man is a consummate professional, has decades of experience, knew exactly what he was doing, did what he needed to do, and we couldn't be more pleased to have had this absolute expert come to evaluate our water heater. As soon as we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He'll be back in 2 days to replace the hot water heater. Thank you so much!

Great! Andrew was friendly and knowledgeable. Came out an hour after I called and got my water line fixed up. He also let me know how to protect it from future problems. I'm a happy customer
Justin Faulkner
Great communication when trying to schedule and when in route. Answered my questions and explained options before starting. Completed the work, verified it was fixed and cleaned the area when he was done. (Kitchen sink clog - more than 25’ from the sink)
William Whitehouse
Justin did a great job unclogging my kitchen sink. I tried to do it myself and evidently it went up the vent at the T instead of going down into the clog. Hopefully it will not clogged again but if it does and I can't get it I will be calling again. This is the 2nd time I've used Ben Franklin Plumbing and am happy the the fast response and courtesy of the plumbers. I recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing to anyone I know needing a plumber.

Black Creek and Middendorf aquifer water here is often high in iron (orange staining) and can carry sulfur “rotten-egg” odor, and it's frequently acidic. After a water test, we install the right filtration, conditioning, and treatment.
Possibly. Acidic, low-pH well water can pin-hole copper and eat galvanized pipe over time. We test, treat the water, and repipe corroded lines as needed.
Yes. Many Bennettsville homes are on slabs, and we use leak-detection equipment to locate and repair hidden slab and under-floor leaks.
Often, yes. Older homes here frequently have aging galvanized, polybutylene, or acid-corroded copper. We inspect and repipe or replace carefully.
