Named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024!
Baytown is the industrial heart of the upper Gulf Coast east of Houston. It’s a working city on Galveston Bay built around one of the largest refining and petrochemical complexes in the country, with established neighborhoods and growing new subdivisions. It's also home to our office on West Baker Road. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Baytown and Dayton is the on-time team the city counts on.
We carry one of the most trusted names in American plumbing, a brand named Forbes' Top Ranked Plumbing Company of 2024, but the people answering your call are your neighbors. We're The Punctual Plumber, and we back it with a promise no ordinary plumber makes: if there's any delay, it's you we pay, $5 a minute up to $300.
Every Baytown home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Baytown and Dayton service area, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:
Baytown's water comes from the City of Baytown, which blends surface water from the Trinity River, delivered by the Coastal Water Authority, with Gulf Coast Aquifer groundwater. That water is hard, averaging about 7.9 grains per gallon. Water softeners and filtration are among the most valuable upgrades a homeowner can make, sparing water heaters and fixtures from scale. The region's expansive clay soil is the other defining factor. It shrinks and swells with moisture, shifting slab foundations and the pipes within them, making slab leaks common.
Baytown's housing ranges from mid-century refinery-era neighborhoods with aging galvanized or cast-iron pipe worth repiping to newer slab subdivisions. The low-lying, bayside terrain brings real flood risk. Baytown's history even includes land subsidence from past groundwater pumping, since reversed by the switch to surface water. Therefore, backwater valves and drainage matter, and the occasional hard freeze like Winter Storm Uri can burst uninsulated pipes. The city's refineries, plants, and businesses also rely on commercial and industrial plumbing.

As the hometown team, we know Baytown's soil, water, and housing. Our trucks are a familiar sight across the city. We stock them to handle the slab leaks, softeners, repipes, and freeze-and-storm protection Baytown homes actually need, resolving most visits in a single trip, and we serve the city's plants and businesses too.
Baytown plumbing follows the Gulf Coast calendar. Before hurricane season, have drainage and any backwater valve checked so heavy rain doesn't back up your sewer. Before winter, insulate exposed pipes and hose bibs against the occasional hard freeze. Flush the water heater yearly for the hard water, and watch year-round for the slab leaks that shifting clay causes.

I wanted to share my appreciation for the excellent service Brandon and his team provided. Brandon arrived on time, responded quickly, and handled the work with professionalism, friendliness, and care. What stood out most was the speed and convenience of the service. Brandon assessed the leakage damage, cleaned the spout, scraped away the old caulk, reinstalled the area, and sealed it properly for waterproofing. Please extend my thanks to Brandon and his team for their reliable work and excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend their service and will call again for future needs.

I randomly found Benjamin Franklin Plumbing via a general Google search. I needed to have some work done on a shower in my home and I don't have a go to for plumbing. When I called I was met by the kind and helpful voice of Renee who put me on their schedule, and then followed up when an earlier opening presented itself, she ACTUALLY called me on the phone to try and update me. This was cool. Eric, their service technician came by my home and quickly assessed that Id actually need a contractor. He took video and found a contractor and SENT ME THE CONTRACTORS INFO. I told Renee afterwards that I hope I never need a plumber but if I do they will be my first call from here on out.

Growing family and we needed a plumber we could actually trust. Friends recommended Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Intown Atlanta and wow, so glad they did. They inspected our whole plumbing system (never even thought of it as a “system” before) and gave us multiple options with zero pressure. We’re having them back when we return from vacation to get some work done. Trustworthy, patient and easy to deal with. Thankful we found these guys!!

Very impressive people to be around.

Keith came promptly, worked quickly but we paid $709 for a water shutoff, and a small piece of PVC pipe under our sink that took 40 minutes to do. $210 of that was because it was an emergency visit.

Chase was exceptional!! Jared was so helpful as well!! This company came out to check our heating and cooling systems, clean our hot water heater, and patiently answered a bunch of our plumbing and duct-cleaning questions. As owners of an aging home, we truly trust them and deeply value their expert opinions on what updates we need. The level of professionalism cannot be surpassed! From wearing booties so they don’t drag dirt into the house to sending texts with pictures of the technicians before they arrive, every detail made us feel safe and cared for. We trust them completely with our home, will definitely continue doing business with them, and are already recommending them to all our friends. They are simply the best in the area!

The service was timely and professional. I really appreciate that Chuck treated my home with respect. He not only wiped his feet, but he put on booties to protect my floors. He did a thorough inspection before he gave me the estimate for the service needed. Because of his courteous explanation of what was needed to get the job done correctly, I would highly recommend him.

Again, professional and courteous! Brynt was very knowledgeable and efficient- fixed us right up! Company vehicle nice and clean, uniforms nice- hope we never need again- who wants plumbing issues?-but if we do, you can bet we will call them again for sure!!!
