Alpine is one of the most beautiful places to live in Utah. It is an affluent foothill city tucked against the Wasatch at the mouth of American Fork Canyon. It is known for its large homes on generous lots, quiet winding streets, and a mountain backdrop that feels close enough to touch. Finer homes at elevation call for careful, expert plumbing, and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® of Draper brings the expertise to match.
On time, every time: premium service backed by our promise. If there's any delay, it's you we pay, $5 a minute up to $300.
Every Alpine home has access to our full range of plumbing services. The menu is the same across our entire Draper-area service territory, and each service links to the national brand page with full details:
Around-the-clock emergency service dispatched for Alpine homeowners facing frozen or burst pipes, sump-pump failures, sewer backups, water heater failures, or no-water situations. We come day or night, weekends and holidays, and especially through the deep Wasatch winter.
Water treatment sized for Utah's extremely hard water, which on the Wasatch Front commonly runs four to five times the national average. This protects water heaters, fixtures, and appliances from the scale that shortens their lives.
Expert diagnosis and repair of leaks, fixtures, and supply problems, backed by professional inspection and diagnosis. Our plumbers are trained to resolve up to 90% of issues on the first visit.
Drain cleaning, drain installation, and hydro jetting with camera inspection, clearing scale, grease, and the roots that reach into older lines.
Water heater repair, replacement, and installation, including tankless systems. We provide the annual flushing that hard water demands, plus proper seismic strapping for Utah's earthquake code.
Frozen pipe service, including insulation, frost-proof hose bibs, safe thawing, and fast burst-pipe repair to protect your home through northern Utah's hard freezes.
Whole-home repiping, pipe repair, and leaking pipe service for aging galvanized systems and the pinholes that hard, mineral-laden water leaves behind.
Water service line repair and replacement, plus pressure-reducing valves and expansion tanks for the high static pressure common on Wasatch bench and foothill properties.
Non-destructive leak detection, leak repair, and slab leak service, finding hidden leaks in walls, under basement slabs, and in buried lines before they cause damage.
Sump pump installation and repair and water pump service, guarding finished basements against spring snowmelt, a seasonal high water table, and heavy rain.
Sewer line repair and sewer line replacement and installation for the root intrusion, scale, and aging laterals common in established neighborhoods.
Outdoor plumbing service for frost-proof hose bibs, exterior shut-offs, and seasonal winterizing, including the pressurized secondary irrigation systems many homes here rely on.
Faucets, toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and garbage disposals repaired and installed, including the low-flow upgrades that stretch water in an arid state.
Alpine's setting shapes its plumbing. Perched on the bench where the valley meets the mountains, many Alpine properties see high static water pressure, the natural consequence of elevation change between a supply reservoir and a tap. That pressure quietly stresses fixtures, appliances, and pipe joints until something gives. A properly functioning pressure-reducing valve, paired with a thermal expansion tank on the water heater, is one of the best investments an Alpine homeowner can make. It's the first thing we check when we see repeated fixture failures.
The water itself runs hard, generally in the range of eighteen to twenty-three grains per gallon with traces of iron, so softeners, filtration, and reverse osmosis protect a fine home's plumbing and fixtures. Alpine's larger homes often have multiple bathrooms, more than one water heater, and extensive irrigation, systems that reward a plumber comfortable working at scale. Their finished basements make precise, non-destructive leak detection essential before anyone opens a wall. Winters at this elevation are genuinely cold, so frozen-pipe protection matters. Spring snowmelt off the Wasatch keeps sump pumps busy. The Wasatch Fault at the base of the range is the reason Utah code asks that water heaters be properly strapped.
Alpine's fine, elevated homes reward experience and care. We serve Alpine with services such as installing pressure-reducing valves and expansion tanks for the bench's high static pressure, and whole-home softening and filtration for the hard, iron-touched water. We also do precise leak detection that protects finished basements, and service for multiple water heaters and complex fixture systems. We bring that with white-glove, on-time service.

Alpine's elevation makes winter preparation essential: insulate pipes in unheated spaces, disconnect hoses, shut off exterior lines, and winterize irrigation before the first hard freeze. Ahead of spring snowmelt, test the sump pump and check drainage. Have your water pressure measured at least once, since high bench pressure is the invisible cause of many fixture failures. Flush every water heater yearly.

Made appointment to pinpoint leak in shower head. Turned out it was the valve which needed replacing. Hugo was great. Ordered it and returned the following day to install. He also shared information about flushing out our tankless water heaters and addressing excessive pressure coming into the house. We are checking with the builder before we schedule those additional jobs to see if there is any warranty on our home.
Mark Katzman
Hugo came on time. Fixed problem.

Angi recommended Benjamin Franklin Plumbing with a 5-star rating. Repairman, Wilson did a great job. We had a leak in a waterline in the front yard. Excellent service. He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked in a timely manner. Afterwards, he cleaned up the work site and did a safety inspection. I would definitely recommend this company and Wilson 😃

★★★★★ Exceptional service from Ethan and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Lisbon! I called just before closing and they had someone out to my home first thing the next morning. Ethan was fantastic - very polite, professional, and efficient. Pricing was very upfront before any service was provided, so there were no surprises. The job was completed within an hour! Exceptional customer service from start to finish - I also spoke to the office manager and everybody was very polite. It’s GREAT to have and know this company is serving the North Country! Thank you! Highly recommend!

We were very blessed to have such an expert as Mike come to our house to troubleshoot our hot water heater. The man is a consummate professional, has decades of experience, knew exactly what he was doing, did what he needed to do, and we couldn't be more pleased to have had this absolute expert come to evaluate our water heater. As soon as we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He'll be back in 2 days to replace the hot water heater. Thank you so much!

Great! Andrew was friendly and knowledgeable. Came out an hour after I called and got my water line fixed up. He also let me know how to protect it from future problems. I'm a happy customer
Justin Faulkner
Great communication when trying to schedule and when in route. Answered my questions and explained options before starting. Completed the work, verified it was fixed and cleaned the area when he was done. (Kitchen sink clog - more than 25’ from the sink)
William Whitehouse
Justin did a great job unclogging my kitchen sink. I tried to do it myself and evidently it went up the vent at the T instead of going down into the clog. Hopefully it will not clogged again but if it does and I can't get it I will be calling again. This is the 2nd time I've used Ben Franklin Plumbing and am happy the the fast response and courtesy of the plumbers. I recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing to anyone I know needing a plumber.
