My sewer line had a blockage & after digging down to my sewer line, Randal was able to find the cause of my sewer problems, Gas company cross boring. He did a great job in locating the issue and was able to fix it. Good job in backfilling & cleaning up the area. Only issue was that the job had to be completed after the weekend because they did not have the pipe that was needed for the repair. Leaving us without sewage drainage over the weekend. But once Randal got here Monday Morning, the job was done in 3 hours.
Great start on a three day job, I can use my kitchen sink again. Dominic explained everything and that there was a slight change to the plan, but everything looks good so far. Follow up, I am very happy with the job that Dominic and Wyatt did on my plumbing, changing all the plumbing from cast iron to PVC has been needed for a long time. Thanks again for all the wonderful work and now I can relax about back ups. Dec. 3, 2024 I had a leak in one of the toilet Dominic put in. Once I let them know about it they were very prompt about getting me scheduled and repairing the toilet. I will be using Benjamin Franklin for all my future plumbing needs. Thanks Dominic!!
Jewell Nixon with Benjamin Franklin did a great job. We had a cruddy old rusted main drain, a drippy sink, a leak in the tub and even an issue with the kitchen sink (no joke). Jewell worked fast, fixed it all in a day and was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable all the way. We were glad to learn from him and grateful for the outcome. Everything looks and works so much better now. Ben Franklin made themselves available to help with our issues quickly and showed up when they said they would. they really are "ounctual plumbers." I would recommend!
I’m very happy with the service I received from the phone call to schedule to the work done at my home! On the phone the lady I spoke with very very kind, positive, and helpful. She told me about a special they had and that was indeed the amount I was charged on the day of service. The plumber was kind, professional, and did a great job! I asked my friends for recommendations and one recommended this company. I’m so glad I went with them. I will use them again in the future!

Kate is the Operations Manager at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Kate works directly with the office staff and each technician to ensure that our customer is getting the best service experience possible. She enjoys interacting with customers and planning fun company events for our employees. Kate is the daughter of owners, Bruce and Madonna. She takes great pride in helping her parents run a successful family owned business. In her free time, Kate enjoys watching the Kansas City Chiefs and spending time with her children.
Bruce Forthofer
Owner
Bruce has been in the plumbing trade since 1992. He started his own business in 1998 and operated as a one truck operation for 14 years. In 2012, wanting to grow his business, he decided to buy into to the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise. In 2012 he merged his company with the existing Benjamin Franklin Franchise in Kansas City. In 2015, he became the sole owner of the company. In 2016 his wife, Madonna, became co owner of the company. He coached his daughters in soccer for 15 years and ran a soccer league for 10. He now enjoys his free time with his grand kids.
Kathy Lay
Bookkeeeping and Accounting
Kathy worked for Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for the last 10 years. She enjoys the people and the family atmosphere we have here. She has two grown boys one of who has joined the Benjamin Franklin team to become a plumber!
Madonna Forthofer
Owner
Madonna is the co-owner of the company along with her husband Bruce. She's helped him in the business since 1998. She is proud to be from Kansas City, KS. She is the mother of five, three being triplets, and a grandmother to five.
