Had an emergency with our water heater springing a major leak. All three service technicians (Christian, Tony, & Dylan) did a great job! Super fast response, very friendly, and professional. My wife really appreciateed the use of shoe covers as they entered the house and the care they took to keep everything as clean as possible. Great higher grade products, service, warranty, and very competitive pricing as confirmed by our son who is also in the same industry but outside of our area.
Tony gave me amazing service today and I am beyond grateful. He was incredibly kind and walked me through the situation and my options. Not only did Ilija Kostadinov give me a reasonable estimate/quote, he stood by it 💯%! Some hiccups developed and he never hiked up the price. The work was completed in a timely manner. The work crew were knowledgeable. The job was completed very professionally. Once I signed with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, Ilija Kostadinov took all the stress and challenges off my shoulders and handled ALL of it. Removing the back fence to get the backhoe in, and replacing it when finished. Breaking the concrete of the ‘patio’ , hand digging the trench out to the yard where they could use the backhoe. Laying 80 foot of new pipe from house to alley. Dump trucks of extra dirt out, then back in. Scheduling with the city to block off the alley, and to have it re-asphalted. The cement patio was replaced. And the yard put to rights before the job was considered complete. Ilija covered it ALL! And his communication with us throughout the process was ever present, but not pressured. I Highly recommend Ilija. His price was neck to neck with two other companies, not inexpensive, but well worth getting the job done correctly.
Both Ilija and Dylan were great! Ilija first came as we did not have hot water. He handled that problem efficiently and then checked all 4 bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. Ilija identified quite a number of items that needed replacement and since our home is older it was very good to be made aware of those issues. Dylan then came a couple of days later and fixed all of the problems in one day! He worked all day and did an excellent job while treating our home with respect and went above and beyond to help us. Excellent company and Ilija and Dylan both super!!

Robert has worked in the In-Home Services Industry in Florida, Virginia and now Colorado as General Manager for One Hour Heating and Cooling, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Mister Sparky. Outside of work, Robert enjoys the outdoors and is an avid ice hockey player/ fan (go Avalanche and the Eagles!) and skier; he has been in a relationship for over a decade and is a co-parent/father to five children and the owner of a Giant Schnoodle (Mando). Robert’s partner grew up in Boulder, and her family currently still resides in the area north of Denver. Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Toronto Metropolitan University and is recognized for his disciplined, results-driven leadership style grounded in customer satisfaction, safety, quality workmanship, and long-term growth.
John Chonka
Operations Manager
John Chonka is the Operations Manager at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and a Master Plumber with more than 25 years of hands‑on experience. Known for his deep technical skill and steady leadership, he helps keep teams running smoothly and customers well served. John holds a high school diploma and spent much of his career as a service plumber. Outside of work, he’s an avid fly‑fishing guide and pottery enthusiast. A survivor of a major aquamarine‑mine explosion, he brings exceptional resilience and perspective to every job.
Jason Shivo
Operations Manager
Jason has more than 21 years in the business, including the past 11 years with Mister Sparky and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. He's lived on both coasts, born in Santa Barbara, California and raised in Warren, Vermont. He and his wife now call Denver home. He says that the key to success is giving 100 percent, an attitude that's resulted in him being named Employee of the Year twice.
When he's not focused on getting great results for customers, he enjoys the great outdoors; as long as it involves mountains or an ocean!

Vernon Thomas is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Currently serving as Sales Manager in Colorado for One Hour Heating and Cooling, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Mister Sparky Electric, he combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to deliver innovative heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sales solutions.
Vernon shows technical mastery as a Master Technician/Journeyman Mechanic with proven leadership in sales. With a strong focus on customer relationships and strategic sales leadership, Vernon works closely with clients and teams to ensure exceptional service and long-term value.
As an Honorably Discharged U.S. Marine, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology (minor in Business Management) from Park University of Missouri. Vernon is passionate about teaching sales and communication training, while building strong client relationships, and driving growth.
Outside of work, he enjoys all outdoor activities and spending quality time with family.
