We had a good experience with our drain clean out today at work! Matthew and his crew did a great job.He was courteous and kept us informed of each step. A repair is never fun but he made it bearable. Will use again.

Arrived on time, prepared to service by HVAC systems, and even wore shoe covers to respect my home. He was very kind, went over all three tuneup measures taken and made some recommendations for future maintenance. He even changed the air filters for me. Wonderful!!!

So I used Benjamin Franklin plumbing when I first moved into my house years ago and they were great. But today the customer service was unreal. Athens not only diagnosed the problem quickly, he also went through every possible option for getting the fix I needed. He walked me through everything step by step, gave wonderful insight, but didn't make me feel obligated to commit to anything right away like other plumbers/technicians I've worked with. He is clearly invested into doing what's best for the homeowner, but was also realistic about expectations and understanding of the realities people face when they suddenly have an unexpected large expense. 10/10 would work with Athens again.

I just want to thank Oscar for helping my mom. He was very polite, ask what was happening to the AC. My mom explained and showed pictures, and sounds of what the furnace what doing. Oscar got to trouble shooting right way. When he finished looking, he found the board and motor were causing the furnace to shut down. He ordered the parts, and came in the next day and got her up and running again. He did have to hunt down for those parts! We appreciate everything you did! Thanks Oscar and Minuteman AC!!! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed with the great service!!

This review is for the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing located in Arlington, TX at 7501 US Hwy 287. I am very pleased with the repair of the front yard underground leak near the water shut-off valve for the homeowner, for the following reasons: 1) They were able to do the fix the SAME DAY I called. 2) The Field Supervisor, Chris Fontenot, had a wealth of knowledge from 33 years of experience. This differs from another company where the person doing the fix told me my water meter (fine the day before) was broke, and had a blank display, he didn't even know the display was light activated. 3) Chris totally replaced the type of handle with one much easier to access and turn, and he also replaced a small 6 inch round plastic cover where the handle was several inches into the ground and difficult to access, with a much larger and more easily assessible cover. 4) I had a lot questions about another recent very expensive "set of 3 repairs", one right after the other, and he answered all of my questions clearly, relieving also of apprehension I had about the multi-repairs being "related" and the high repair cost. 5) The office staff was also "on top of everything", and kept me informed as to who was on their way and when. If I was away from the house when they called, they were easy to work with and ensured me that the plumbers would wait for me. 6) After the repairs were done, I noticed that 3 out of 5 of my waterfall faucets had very little pressure. Chris sent another field supervisor to actually "do the work" and clean out of debris, Klee Berry. Klee also went above an beyond. He could have repaired only the 3 that had poor to medium pressure, instead he checked and cleared all of them. This was "not" just a matter of rinsing a screen, it was much more involved. He was here 2 hours and 45 minutes doing all 5. He also looked/fixed at a clog in my kitchen sink, and told me how to easily and quickly clean a laundry room faucet. 7) Another reason I called Benjamin Franklin was because I recalled that when they did another larger repair at my house and they needed to dig up a huge area of my lawn (just replaced at that time), they did such a great job putting the lawn back... you couldn't even tell a team of several plumbers had ever been there. To the contrary, the other plumbing company (the one that didn't know about the meter display) left my yard with a big dip in the lawn, and dead grass. I even had them back a second time to fix it again, and it still looks "terrible." So, they were prompt, knowledgeable and experienced, pleasant and willing to answer my questions, went above and beyond when clearing debris from my faucets, left no mess in the yard, and the office kept on top of the scheduling and kept me informed. Plumbing FAQs

What routine maintenance should I be doing for my Arlington water heater?

To keep your water heater running smoothly in Arlington, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.

How do I know if I need a Arlington plumber for my home's low water pressure?

If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Arlington home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Arlington to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.

Do you offer emergency plumbing service in Arlington?

We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.

How often should I schedule drain cleaning for my Arlington property?

For most homes in Arlington, scheduling professional drain cleaning once a year helps prevent clogs, odors, and costly backups. If your property has older pipes, large trees nearby, or frequent slow drains, you may need service more often. Regular maintenance keeps your plumbing flowing smoothly and protects your home from unexpected issues.

Do you offer plumbing financing in Arlington?

We have built relationships with several lenders to ensure our customers are able to restore functionality in their homes. Ask your technician about your financing options.

Are there plumbing upgrades that can help conserve water in my Arlington home?

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Arlington home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.

What are common plumbing issues in older Arlington homes?

Older homes in Arlington often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.

What should I do to prepare my plumbing for winter in Arlington?

To get your plumbing ready for winter in Arlington, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.

How can I tell if my sewer line is damaged in Arlington?

Signs of a damaged sewer line in your TX home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
