Brian Johnson

Called BF around 8:30am having no hot water. They told me 10-2 and the technician would call ahead of time. My phone was ringing in about 10 minutes and I had someone at my house by 9. Jason was my technician and he showed me options for my situation. Ultimately I went with a new hot water heater and Jason completed the job in about 2 hours. Hot water restored! Jason was professional, polite, and kept me in the loop as he worked. Would highly recommend!

Tim Loden

Highly recommended — very professional Brock was the service rep that installed the new dish washer and replaced the water cutoff valves in the garage. He is one of the best service reps I’ve had in 25 years. Very polite, obviously well qualified, professional and leaves the site spotless. In the future, it will be easy to call Benjamin Franklin again with any plumbing problem. A very satisfied customer Tim Loden

Brianna Wingerd

Dwayne was awesome in helping us out with a toilet repair! He had someone out to help us within 2 hours of calling! We appreciate how quick and efficient they were! They took care of all our needs and will definitely be recommending them to everyone we know!

Robert Walton

Great job from everyone involved. Would highly recommend their services to anyone needing plumbing work done. Highly professional and they gave me multiple options to fix my water leak. It was a great experience dealing with them. Also to know it is veteran owned and makes it a priority to hire veterans there should be no reason to not employ their services in any manner. Again great job Ben Franklin Crew and thank you immensely to the technicians that came and fixed our issues.....

Plumbing FAQs

What routine maintenance should I be doing for my Wilmington NC water heater?

To keep your water heater running smoothly in Wilmington NC, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.

How do I know if I need a Wilmington NC plumber for my home's low water pressure?

If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Wilmington NC home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Wilmington NC to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.

We work built relationships with several lenders to ensure our customers are able to restore functionality in their homes. Ask your technician about your financing options.

Are there plumbing upgrades that can help conserve water in my Wilmington NC home?

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Wilmington NC home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.

What are common plumbing issues in older Wilmington NC homes?

Older homes in Wilmington NC often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.

What should I do to prepare my plumbing for winter in Wilmington NC?

To get your plumbing ready for winter in Wilmington NC, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.

How can I tell if my sewer line is damaged in Wilmington NC?

Signs of a damaged sewer line in your NC home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
