A dependable supply of hot water is something most of us don’t think about until it suddenly disappears. We handle everything from quick water heater repairs to full system replacements, always with your comfort in mind. Living in Florida means your water heater works harder than you might realize. Hard water minerals, high humidity, and salt in the air can wear down tanks, heating elements, and internal components faster than expected. That’s why our plumbers don’t just fix symptoms; they look at the whole picture to pinpoint what’s really causing the issue. If a targeted repair can get your unit running like new again, we’ll take care of it. If the system is aging or simply beyond efficient repair, we’ll go over water heater replacement options that make sense for your home and budget. Thinking about going tankless? We can walk you through the benefits, such as reduced energy use, longer system life, and endless hot water – something many Fort Pierce homeowners enjoy, especially during busy mornings or guest-filled weekends. Whether your current water heater needs a tune-up or it’s time for an upgrade, we make the process smooth from start to finish. Our plumbers handle removal, installation, testing, and clean-up so you can get back to enjoying reliable hot water without any hassle. Your water heater may be trying to tell you something. Look out for these early warning signs:
Our Fort Pierce plumbers will diagnose the issue, explain your options clearly, and get your hot water back up and running fast.
Some plumbing problems make themselves known right away. Others stay hidden until they have already caused serious damage. Water leaks often fall into that second category. In Fort Pierce homes, leaks can develop under slabs, behind walls, or beneath flooring, quietly wasting water and weakening your home before there are clear warning signs.
If you have noticed damp areas that never seem to dry, unexplained moldy smells, or a water bill that keeps climbing without explanation, there is a good chance a hidden pipe leak is to blame. That is where professional leak detection comes in. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® offers accurate leak detection and pipe leak detection services designed to find the source of the problem without tearing your home apart.
Our plumbers use specialized tools to track down leaks quickly and precisely. This approach saves time, limits disruption, and helps avoid unnecessary repairs. Fort Pierce’s warm climate, mineral-heavy water, and salty coastal air can all contribute to pipe wear and corrosion over time, making hidden leaks more common than many homeowners realize.
Once we locate the leak, we take the time to explain what is happening and what your options are. You will get clear answers, upfront pricing, and recommendations that focus on long-term reliability, not temporary fixes. When you need dependable leak detection in Fort Pierce, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® is ready to help you protect your home and avoid costly water damage.

AJ was on time, friendly and knowledgeable about the problem. He explained everything to me and gave me three quotes. And he was patient and allowed me to choose which plan to go with. Thus company has been great for me and I highly recommend them. Most of all, I called them after 100 pm. The lady told me that she could have a plumber to me between 200 pm and 600 pm. He did arrive early and took less time than he told me it would take.

Very pleased with the work that was done at my home. We encountered many issues that needed to be fixed and we were greeted by some amazing people! Mr.Eric installed our new water heater and he answered every question and concern and put our minds at ease . Ryder and Jourdan are helping us with our plumbing issue and they’ve done the exact same aswell! I’m very comfortable saying that I will be handling all repairs for a lifetime with this company. Not just because of the work that was done but it’s because I know they have these 3 wonderful people working for them!! They’ve made our life so much easier in a tough home owning time. This is a trust worthy company and their workers are amazing!!!! If you ever have any issues at home or business I personally recommend these 3 people to come out and do the service for you ! Thanks Eric, Ryder, and Jourdan !!!

I called One Air Heating for a second opinion on my furnace drama. I have battling it since the first of December with another company. First off the second opinion was free! I did not know that! How Wonderful for this old lady! Cody came out same day....what a great guy and very knowledgeable of my furnace unit. After explaining my troubles, and he listened to all of them, he looked at the thermostat and the the unit. Turned out I need a control board, which of course, is back ordered. So.....he did a temporary fix, and checked to see if they had any boards at all for the unit in case the fix doesn't hold. Found an old board, but have decided to wait if the temporary fails. He came out on the 21st and as of the 24th, its still working. He even gave me his number and said if any problems give him a call. He even texted on friday to check in. Great Service for sure, I'm glad I called their number for the second opinion. Thanks so much Cody!

Excellent service. My water heater started pouring water. So i started calling around to find a plumber that would come and fix it same day. After 10 calls around i found Benjamin Franklin. They sent someone within the hour and before day was done i had a brand new water heater and my house was brought up to code! Thank you Ronnie, David and Jay. Extremely professional and tidy!

Ryan was very competent and thorough. Although all I really wanted was my toilet to work again he made some very good observations throughout my house of things needing work. He presented pros and cons and didn't feel overly pressured to do anything. His work was done right away and he left no mess. I will definitely call him in the future.

The crew at Ben Franklin responded quickly to our situation and presented us with options to fix the problem of excessive rust deposits entering the house in sinks and toilets. The returned within 48 hours and installed two filters to our system. The plumber, Mingmar, was very nice, explained everything he was going to do and finished the job in less than 4 hours. Thank you, Ben Franklin!

To keep your water heater running smoothly in Fort Pierce, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Fort Pierce home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Fort Pierce to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.

To get your plumbing ready for winter in Fort Pierce, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.
