Alan Roy

We were very happy with BFP or as I call them wepow! Our water heater needed replacement and we were looking to upgrade, they offered a couple of options including just replacing with the same. We already were looking into on demand hot water heaters so we went that route. We also had a filter system installed which we've wanted, it doubled the heater warranty too 20 years and can we drink from the faucet now, seriously I drink from the faucet now never thought. Elijah and Dean were awesome they explained the different options and the pros and cons of each. They were very respectful of us and our house and had good communication on what they were doing and why. We recommend them.

I returned from work last night to find water all over the floor of my garage due to water leaking from my water heater which is located in the garage. I had to shut off water supply to the entire house as no water heater bypass was installed, I called Benjamin Franklin the next day and Heather sent Derek Johnson over and after inspection determined a new water heater was needed. He returned a few hours later with said water heater and installed with updates to plumbing to meet new codes and a bypass system if something happens in the future, he did a great job and I would recommend Derek and team!

Anthony Adams was absolutely fantastic! He was very professional, and not "pushy". He gave all options available to us, and his estimate on the cost was pretty well spot on. DEFINITELY using again!

Plumbing FAQs

What routine maintenance should I be doing for my Montrose water heater?

To keep your water heater running smoothly in Montrose, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.

How do I know if I need a Montrose plumber for my home's low water pressure?

If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Montrose home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Montrose to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.

Do you offer emergency plumbing service in Montrose?

We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.

How often should I schedule drain cleaning for my Montrose property?

For most homes in Montrose, scheduling professional drain cleaning once a year helps prevent clogs, odors, and costly backups. If your property has older pipes, large trees nearby, or frequent slow drains, you may need service more often. Regular maintenance keeps your plumbing flowing smoothly and protects your home from unexpected issues.

Do you offer plumbing financing in Montrose?

We work built relationships with several lenders to ensure our customers are able to restore functionality in their homes. Ask your technician about your financing options.

Are there plumbing upgrades that can help conserve water in my Montrose home?

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Montrose home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.

What are common plumbing issues in older Montrose homes?

Older homes in Montrose often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.

What should I do to prepare my plumbing for winter in Montrose?

To get your plumbing ready for winter in Montrose, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.

How can I tell if my sewer line is damaged in Montrose?

Signs of a damaged sewer line in your CO home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
