Tankless Water Heater Installation

Did you know that a professionally installed and professionally sized tankless water heater installation means virtually never running out of hot water again? It's true! Instead of using a tank and continually heating and re-heating water, a tankless water heater heats the water as it passes through the unit only as needed. That means much less wasted water, not running out of hot water, and much higher energy efficiency. Plus, tankless water heaters are much smaller in size! If you're interested in upgrading to a tankless water heater, simply reach out to our expert plumbers today.

FAQs

What Are Some Common Water Heater Issues?

Water heaters are built to withstand daily usage. Unfortunately, due to the stress of repeated use, nearly all appliances will require repairs at some point. Regular maintenance and inspection can help prolong the life of your water heater. One common issue we see is sediment build up. Over time the minerals in your water supply can settle at the bottom of your tank and reduce its efficiency. While this issue can be fixed by flushing the sediment out of the tank, other common problems require repairs or replacements. Damage to values or the tank itself is not uncommon. You may also be experiencing loose connections, which are impacting your water heater’s function. Whatever issue you’re experiencing, our licensed plumbers have seen it all—and are happy to help get your hot water working again.

What Are Signs Your Water Heater is Going Bad?

The lifespan of your water heater will depend on the type you have and how well it’s been maintained. Gas and electric water heaters usually last 8-10 years. While tankless style water heaters can last 20 years or more. Whatever type of water heater you have, you should have it inspected annually to extend its lifespan as long as possible. However, all appliances eventually need to be replaced. Increasing water bills without any additional usage can be a telltale signal something is wrong. You may notice you don’t have the same available amount of hot water. Inconsistent or low water pressure can also be signs that your water heater is struggling to keep up. If you hear strange noises or see visible leaks around your unit, be sure to call a professional right away.

Is Water Heater Repair Worth It?

As a water heater ages, its efficiency may be impacted. While most traditional water heaters can last a decade or more, frequent repairs can add up. Ultimately, if the cost of repairing your water heater is more than 50% of the cost to replace it, we generally recommend replacement over repairing. Replacing your water heater can mean improved energy efficiency, higher hot water capacity, reduction in repair bills, and more reliability. Our team of licensed plumbers operates with a strict code of ethics. We strive to do what’s best for the customer. You can count on us to discuss your repair or replacement options honestly.

Excellent experience with Cody today. He had to come back a second time to help us with installing fixtures I purchased the day before when we discovered a water leak under the sink. At any rate, he showed up the next day and helped us.. it cost double, however, because he had to come back.. I wish my husband would have just let him install the fixtures instead of trying to do it himself.. but you can’t blame a guy for trying!🙃

We called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing minutes before their closing time of 7 pm, which was a surprise. Most businesses close earlier and have a voicemail option. I explained our issue to the woman who answered. She was so pleasant and helpful. We were running out of hot water. She told me that Josh could be here by 8:30 am the very next morning and would come equipped with a new hot water heater if ours needed to be replaced, and if he didn’t have the size we wanted onboard, he could have one delivered from their warehouse to our house within minutes. Josh arrived on time, he had what we wanted, and installed the new unit. He and Tanner were very knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant to deal with. My husband wasn’t home, but Josh talked with him and explained the options and pricing over the phone. All the way around, it was a great experience. I’m happy to have found our “forever” plumber.

I had the pleasure of meeting one of their employees, Michael, this morning for an estimate. He took the time to walk me through everything and also educated me on plumbing and safety. He was incredibly patient, polite, and punctual. I truly appreciate the level of professionalism and care he showed. The prices are very reasonable, and I’m happy to have found this company. I’ll definitely be sticking with them going forward. Highly recommend! Grateful and happy new customer here.

We recently had our entire house repiped, new water heater installed, and couldn’t be happier with the service we received. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and professional. Our plumber was extremely friendly and knowledgeable—he took the time to explain everything clearly, gave us options and suggestions. That kind of honesty and transparency is rare and truly appreciated. The owner was incredibly helpful with scheduling, and the cost was very reasonable compared to other companies we considered. Throughout the whole project, Claire has maintained communicative on progress. They also guarantee their work, which adds great peace of mind. Highly recommend this business to anyone looking for reliable and honest plumbing service! I know they will be my future go to

Byron did a wonderful job fixing my drain. And did a wonderful job cleaning up. Very informative about all the things the membership included too. Thank you! Will definitely recommend you to anyone else who may need help.

Vern Swartzentruber

Friendly and respectful. The service was completed quickly and correctly. No complaints.

No pressure to buy - just an easily understood explanation of the situation and our options. We had a timely installation of a gas water heater. We are in our 80s yet we were treated with patience and respect. If we ever need plumbing help again we will certainly ask for Adam!

Patty D

Tyler was our service person. He showed up early and was able to quickly provide a price quote. We had a Rheem water heater under warranty so he disconnected and we met at Home Depot and returned the old one and purchased the new. He returned and promptly installed the new one and made sure everything worked properly. The price was $300 less than the one quoted from the Home Depot installer. I would definitely recommend Ben Franklin as well as Tyler.

Jitinder Chhokar

Adam came out twice to investigate two separate leaks, and he did an excellent job both times. He was thorough in his inspection and provided great advice on who to contact for further assistance. He even went the extra mile by calling the company ahead of time to inform them about our water issues. Adam is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything clearly. We’ve used Benjamin Plumbing in the past and have always had a positive experience. We will definitely continue using them for any future plumbing needs.
