Before you have a completely clogged drain, your kitchen or bathroom usually shows you signs that something’s wrong. The first and most obvious is usually a slow-draining sink, tub, or shower. Or, it might be a toilet that you can only slowly flush by holding down the handle for an extended period. If you notice these issues, call Lakewood’s drain cleaning experts at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing®!
If you ignore the signs, the problem will only get worse. In the most severe cases, a clog can cause sewage to reverse course, entering your home through drains in the bathroom and causing an unsanitary situation. Our team has the tools and know-how to handle it, with equipment like hydro jets that can clear even the toughest clogs. From tree roots to grease and everything in between, we will fix it fast and get your kitchen or bathroom back on track. Don’t let clogged drains ruin your day or turn your bathroom into a mess. Call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® for drain cleaning service you can count on.

We scheduled an appointment online on the Friday after Thanksgiving and received a call back right away. The representative explained the cost for a last‑minute Friday visit, but we decided to book for Monday instead. She also provided suggestions in the meantime concerning the leak. On Monday, the team arrived during the timeframe discussed with my husband which was around 10am, inspected the house, and explained their plan before starting the work. They replaced all of our copper pipes and had everything completed by 5 p.m. Before leaving, they carefully inspected their work, checked all the water lines, and made sure everything was functioning. The communication was clear, the work was thorough, and the professionalism great. Overall, we’re very satisfied with the service and would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done.

Great company and service!!!!. We started having trouble with our hot water- we inherited this tankless water heater- and it took some time for us to diagnose the problem. However, once we got in touch with Benjamin Franklin plumbing, they were phenomenal. Great communication, super quick response time, And they come service on the weekends! Brock was professional, kind and super helpful! He diagnosed the problem and ran through several options, before helping us navigate and make a plan. Matt was also great, he was professional, communicative, friendly and efficient. Both gentlemen resolved what could have been a much bigger problem with ease and efficiency. 10/10 would recommend to anyone

Overall I think Matt and Daunte did a great job. They were friendly and got everything setup in quick order. My only complaint was about the price of the job. They informed of the price when they were here and were upfront about it but I do think the company over charges for the a fairly simple project. Which is not the employees fault.

To keep your water heater running smoothly in Lakewood, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Lakewood home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Lakewood to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.
We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Lakewood home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.
Older homes in Lakewood often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.
To get your plumbing ready for winter in Lakewood, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.
Signs of a damaged sewer line in your home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
