I had major water damage in my house due to 3 burst pipes that froze up when my furnace malfunctioned. I contacted Ben Franklin late on Sunday afternoon and within the hour I received a call from the owner. I explained my situation and he said he would have someone contact me in the morning. At 7:15 on Monday morning I received a text message that a technician was on the way. He (Rob Williamson) arrived at my house around 7:45am! Incredible! He was able to locate the first of 3 burst pipes and repaired that one by 11:30. Turns out I needed major repair on my furnace including a new zone valve and a relay part that he had to order. He worked straight thru until after5pm and was joined by his manager Brian. I can honestly say these two were phenomenal! Both were compassionate to my situation, were very detailed on what they diagnosed the problem to be and what the required fix would entail. I found this entire experience (except of course dealing with all the inconveniences) to be a very satisfying one and would not hesitate for a second to refer this company to anyone in need of plumbing work! Quick and easy experience. No one wants to call a plumber but this was as good as it gets. The plumber Jonathan came out and found and explained the problem and the cost which was very reasonable. He made the repairs and it looks as good as new. Thank you Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

Tyler and Luke did a great job! Very professional and they completed the work much faster than anticipated. They were able to shed some light on some of the older plumbing in the house and let us know what the next steps would be in the issue ever happens again. Thank you!!!
To keep your water heater running smoothly in Comstock Park, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Comstock Park home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Comstock Park to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.
We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Comstock Park home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.
Older homes in Comstock Park often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.
To get your plumbing ready for winter in Comstock Park, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.
Signs of a damaged sewer line in your home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
