The City of Benton is located in Butler County’s Benton Township, which was named after Thomas Benton Murdock. The first settlers arrived in the Benton area about 1870. A Petition was made to the Butler County Commission to incorporate the City of Benton on January 6, 1909. The petition was granted and stated an election for mayor and 5 council members was to be held on January 26,1909 in the I.O.O.F. hall in the City of Benton. The Population when the city was incorporated was approximately 240 people. The City of Benton received its first electricity in 1915, the gas was turned on in 1916, City water was turned on in 1953, sewer service began in 1958, the City changed to dial telephones in 1959, and cable television was available in 1982.

Not all heroes wear capes. Rodney showed up on time and quickly saved the day. Very professional, great work, happily fixed another issue on top of what I called for that he wasn’t expecting to have to do and still took care of a few extra things just to make sure everything was perfect! Definitely someone I’d call again.

Austin was professional, thorough, efficient and very friendly. He figured out the reason why our toilet continued to clog. Since we live in a new 55+ community, we were stunned when Austin proudly revealed to us the culprit: a bright magenta-colored tampon casement. What?! Everyone here is too… Ohhh, wait. It must’ve been our niece who had visited a few months prior. Austin was an excellent clog sleuth! PS: Thanks to the Done Right tech who had no-showed, we got Austin who done awesome. 🙂

After years of searching for a plumber who wasn’t always trying to sell us something new when all we needed was a repair, what a blessing it is that we found Benjamin Franklin Plumbing & Josh. Such a polite, professional & knowledgeable young man. Fixed the issue and did it without selling us a brand new toilet. So nice to have plumbers you can trust! Thank you Josh!

Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
