A water heater that isn’t working right can throw off your whole routine. Maybe the temperature jumps from warm to cold, or your system makes a strange knocking sound every time it kicks on. Whatever the case, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® is here to help you get steady hot water again, without the stress. Florida’s coastal climate can be tough on water heaters. Mineral-heavy water, humidity, and salty air all take a toll on tanks and internal components. That’s why our plumbers look beyond the symptoms and focus on what’s really happening inside your system. If a repair will give your unit more life, we’ll tell you. If your system is wearing out or costing you more than it should, we’ll explain your options for a water heater replacement that fits your home and your budget. We work on every kind of system, from older tanks that have seen better days to modern, energy-efficient units. If you’re curious about tankless water heaters, we can break down how they work, what size your home would need, and whether the upgrade makes financial sense. Most importantly, our team handles everything from start to finish: diagnosis, repair, replacement, installation, and clean-up. We want your experience to be straightforward, simple, and backed by long-lasting results. Your water heater will usually give you a few clues before it fails. Keep an eye out for things like:
If something feels off, even slightly, it’s worth getting checked. Catching problems early can save you from a full breakdown and extend the life of your system.
Stuart homeowners face plumbing risks caused by local conditions. Coastal air is full of salt, which speeds up corrosion in pipes and fixtures. Humid weather contributes to mineral buildup that blocks flow and stains surfaces. Heavy rainfall can stress septic systems and damage sewer lines. Our team provides solutions like water softeners, sewer inspections, and corrosion-resistant materials to keep your plumbing in good condition regardless of the conditions in this part of Florida.
If you’re dealing with a leak, clog, or plumbing emergency, now is the time to act. Call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® to schedule fast, reliable plumbing services in Stuart. Craig and Sergio were fantastic! A less-than-hot shower on Thursday night led to discovering a pilot light out on our hot water heater going into the Labor Day weekend. Craig and Sergio showed up and quickly/efficiently diagnosed our issue. While we weren’t happy about having to get a new heater, we knew we had to do it because we all need hot water! Craig/Sergio explained everything to us, including price and what all was covered, and Craig had the new heater installed and up and running in about 2 hours. Courteous, knowledgeable, professional and efficient. The people at the office were equally fantastic and took good care of us. I would *ABSOLUTELY* recommend the great folks at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of NWA for all of your plumbing needs - BRAVO! 👍🏻😎❤️

Both technicians, David Gonzales & Jayson Helseley, arrived on-time and explained the entire problem with our outdoor connections to the city main. The work required digging, new copper pipe and value installations. When the work was completed, the pipes were also wrapped with insulation and the ground looked like no one had been there. They are professional, friendly and very respectful to us and our property. We now have BFP doing our semi-annual flushing of our tankless water heater and will call them any time we need plumbing services. Great Team and highly recommended.

Nathan did a great job fixing a broken pipe on our outside spigot that was causing a leak. He did a great job assessing the situation and providing an effective fix! He was prompt and incredibly great to work with! I would recommend him to anyone that has a plumbing need!

We are so very happy the the entire process, from them giving the free estimate to our service installer Jordan being professional and friendly and clean. He was informed and shared willingly. Just as pleasant as having to spend money could be. Thanks

Mixit valve was leaking 30-40 drips per minute and needed replaced, was probably original with the house built in 1983. Ben showed up and saved my family and I a large water bill as we were about to leave on a trip. He was done within a few hours and was kind enough to match the fixtures on the sink and even though had a new shower nozzle, he kindly installed the older one that is preferred by my family. He was very professional, explained all his work and cleaned up better than he found the work site. Ben is an excellent service provider and I hope he is awarded a holiday bonus for the exceptional work done.

We’ve been with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for about a year and it has been the service we’ve long been looking for. Their subscription allows for efficient maintenance and pricing that doesn’t hurt your pocket. Today, Francisco helped us with identifying troublesome areas in our tankless water heater during a routine flush, and then walked us through the options on how to address the concerns, with respect and professionalism. Answered all questions without rushing. I felt well informed and taken care of. He was not pushy or trying to upsell us, allowing us to make the decision based on the facts presented. The job was done very quickly and professionally. Highly recommend to ask for Francisco next time you call for service!! Thanks.

We recently had our sewer line repaired and lined, and our technician, Daniel Speicher, was outstanding. He was incredibly proactive, working directly with the city to get our lining approved and keeping us informed every single step of the way. He didn't consider the job done until everything was perfect, including coordinating repairs for some residual damage near our back gate. Danny made a difficult home repair much easier on our family. Five stars!

We had to have our sewer line repaired and lined. Our technician, Daniel Speicher, went above and beyond to make the process as painless as possible. Instead of just telling us that our line needed to be replaced, he took video and petitioned the city to allow us to line it. Leading up to the repairs he stayed in constant communication so we had no questions. He kept this same communication style during the service, and even after. There was residual damage in the alley by our gate and against our fence. He took it upon himself to work with the construction manager and coordinate repairs. While having our sewer repaired wasn't a fun process, Danny definitely made it a lot easier for us. I can't speak highly enough about him, and was happy that we worked with him!
To keep your water heater running smoothly in Stuart, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Stuart home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Stuart to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.
We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Stuart home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.
Older homes in Stuart often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.
To get your plumbing ready for winter in Stuart, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.
Signs of a damaged sewer line in your home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
