We do not rush through jobs. We complete the repair, check for proper flow, and confirm that the fixture or line performs the way it should.
Your plumbing system works behind the scenes every day. Water enters through supply lines, moves through fixtures, and exits through drains and sewer lines. When one part fails, the rest of the system can feel the strain.
Our plumbing services are built around solving both the visible issue and the mechanical cause. If a pipe section has weakened, we repair or replace that section. If a drain has a buildup inside the line, we clear it and confirm that water flows freely again. If a water heater is not producing consistent hot water, we check the components that control heating and flow before recommending repair or replacement.
We focus on lasting results so you can use your plumbing without second-guessing whether the problem will return next week.
These plumbing services cover everyday use, preventive repairs, and urgent situations that require fast attention.
Green Oak Township includes established neighborhoods, lakefront properties, and newer residential developments. Plumbing systems in these homes vary in age and material. Some rely on older supply lines. Others use modern fittings and updated fixtures.
Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® adjusts repair methods based on how the home is built and how the plumbing system is configured. We work carefully within the existing structure and aim to complete repairs without unnecessary disruption.
Plumbing problems often start small. A slow drain can become a backup. A minor leak can damage surrounding materials. Taking action early usually keeps repairs simpler and more manageable.

Never a convenient time when water pipe breakages happen! Monday evening on a holiday. I called Benjamin Franklin at 9:20 pm with an emergency call. Tom K. was the service tech assigned. He contacted me within 30 minutes of my call to let me know he was enroute. He showed up well presented, clean cut and in uniform. Very well mannered, professional, and knowledgeable. After I explained what happened and the action I had taken, he explained my options. He was thorough and made sure I understood everything. We decided on the least costly option knowing that after he opened a small hole in the drywall would determine whether I would have a larger problem or not. Fortunately for me it was not the worse case scenario and it was something Tom could fix. He was finished within a couple hours and I had water again. I cannot express enough, my gratitude for Tom K. and Benjamin Franklin. I will not hesitate to contact them for any future plumbing repairs and/or new installations.

Called for an estimate and they had a tech out to my house within 20 minutes on a Friday afternoon. Michael looked at the hot water heater (why I called) and did a free home inspection while he was there. He was quick and explained everything and answered my questions. They scheduled me for Monday, and Michael came back out to replace my hot water heater and fix my bathtub handles and faucets that were leaking. Whoever had done my repairs before hadn’t used the correct parts, making the work a little more difficult than expected, but Michael got the correct parts needed and got the job done! The pricing was reasonable, much less than other places I had gotten quotes from (one wanted $1000 more!), and the estimate was free which is harder to find nowadays! Several other places wanted to charge $50-$75 just to come look at it. I’m glad I found Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. I will definitely use them again should I need anything else and I recommend you use them as well! Michael was phenomenal and took the time to answer my questions and explain everything in a way that made sense!

To keep your water heater running smoothly in Green Oak Township, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
