I am so happy with the work Mr. Gustavo Rocha has done, which was a challenging water heater. After his work was done, he made sure everything was working properly and efficiently. He took the time to explain everything clearly and easy to understand what problem I was facing. I definitely recommend Franklin services to any other families or friends. Thank you Mr. Gustavo Rocha.

Needed help with clogged toilet. House full of guests! Joseph Lopez our technician was the best. He was like having a friend come over to help. He got the job done quickly and clean. The price was exceptional. I expected double the amount!! Ben Franklin is my go to plumbing company now

Oakly was great! He gave notice prior to his arrival so I had time to put my pets away. He got the repair done rather quickly and the pipe work looks better than when he started. Oakly was also very nice to myself and my neighbor and their dog on his way out.

I had a “simple” valve swap, or so we thought lol! Kevin came in with tools to handle the job which gave him the biggest fight he’s had! Done the work in a professional and quality manner and installed the new cartridge and handle. These guys are highly recommended!
James Morgan
Ben (ironic I know) was fantastic, both with his knowledge and attention to detail. He was able to diagnose my problem, give me options, and fix the problem in what I consider record time. Cannot recommend enough, please reach out to them anytime you have plumbing needs!

Matthew did a great job installing a hot water heater circulating pump. I now have hot water within seconds in my 2nd level bathrooms. I wish I had done this project sooner to save on water expenses.

I had a great experience with Frank from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. They were able to schedule us within a very reasonable timeframe and communicated clearly and consistently throughout the entire process. Frank arrived right on time, was friendly and professional, and took the time to explain everything step by step. He made sure we understood the process, his assessment, and the diagnosis, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward. Excellent service from start to finish — highly recommend Frank and the team at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!

Kevin was great. He is an experienced professional. Another company quoted 2900 for the job I needed done and he did the same job for 1700. I will definitely be asking for Kevin by name for my future plumbing needs.

To keep your water heater running smoothly in Charleston, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Charleston home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Charleston to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.
We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.
For most homes in Charleston, scheduling professional drain cleaning once a year helps prevent clogs, odors, and costly backups. We work built relationships with several lenders to ensure our customers are able to restore functionality in their homes. Ask your technician about your financing options.
Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Charleston home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.
Older homes in Charleston often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.
To get your plumbing ready for winter in Charleston, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.
Signs of a damaged sewer line in your SC home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
