Your water heater is integral to your daily life in Waco. From bathing to cooking, doing laundry, and cleaning, you can’t afford to be without this piece of your plumbing system. Unfortunately, issues often come up that necessitate prompt water heater service. Luckily, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® can help. Whether you have a traditional tank-style or tankless water heater, we’ll arrive promptly in one of our fully stocked trucks to diagnose and repair your water heater woes. Has your traditional, tank-style water heater seen better days? These water heaters last around eight to 10 years, depending on proper maintenance and usage. If you’re noticing inconsistencies in water temperature, corrosion or rust on the tank, or water leakage, it’s time to consider water heater replacement. Our plumbers can help you determine the correct size and type of water heater, whether gas, electric, solar, or other, to fit your needs. If your water heater is relatively new, we can determine if water heater repair is a better option for you. Perhaps you have a tankless water heater in your home. These energy-efficient water heaters have no heating tank but warm water as it passes over an electric or gas-powered heating element. You might occasionally need tankless water heater repair due to ventilation issues, electrical problems, or a leak. We can handle it all. These systems can typically last a couple of decades before needing replacement. However, when that time comes, we can assist with professional tankless water heater installation.
Whether you need water heater repair for your tank-style or tankless water heater or want to replace your current water heater, we can help. Contact us today for more information!
Experiencing symptoms like slow drains, frequent clogs, or water damage from drain pipes leaking in your basement? You need drain service! Drain cleaning is best performed as a maintenance task, before you have a major issue. However, the occasional clog can still happen. Our drain cleaning pros have the best tools and expertise to clear out anything from grease and towels to tree roots and limescale buildup. Our drain repair team in Waco will get you back on track if you have damaged pipes. We have methods like patching and pipe lining, depending on the type of issue you have. It all starts with a camera inspection so that you get an accurate diagnosis and we can find the best solution. Call today for drain repair, cleaning, inspections, and other drain services that keep your plumbing in tip-top shape.
Waco’s hot summers cause pipes to expand and crack, which leads to leaks. Sudden winter freezes make pipes burst if they aren’t properly insulated. Hard water in the area leaves mineral buildup in pipes, which clogs faucets and reduces water pressure. Our services are designed to tackle these and other localized issues that can wreak havoc on your plumbing system.

The gentlemen (JT) did a great job on the 3 drains he cleaned, cleaned the mess and was very professional. I do have an issue with the invoice total. I paid $659,00, I think it should have been $560, if my addition/subtraction is correct. Pls review invoice and let me know. Best regards , Larry Wogoman

Good work. Quick turnout. Clear communication. Tim did such a good job we felt we needed to bring up out right away for another job! P.S. Google Isn't letting me give a third review, but Tim has been out to our place to repair two broken pressure tanks, a water heater, one broken well pump, plus installing a new spigot and a junction box AND install a magnetic water treatment device for me. It's been an expensive month, but Benjamin Franklin and Tim have been nothing but great.

Andrew was exactly what we needed in a very stressful time with a clogged and backed up kitchen, right before the holiday. No time is good for a plumbing issue. Thankful to get him out the next morning after a late evening call, his thoroughness, cleanliness where he worked, and kind hearted personality to keep things less stressful was beyond expectations. Highly recommend this company, their honest investigating, up front pricing, and complete focus to get things done correctly.

Great Service. Tom and his helper were very nice and showed concern about my issue. Although he was not able to duplicate the problem he removed the shower valve with some difficulty to inspect it and found it in very good condition. He said he would research the issue and keep me informed. Thank you Tom!!

Tom and Brandon came out to give me a quote and they were far and above more professional than any other quotes I got. They took the time to actually see where my drainage pipes were, spending plenty of time in my home before giving me a quote. They even climbed up on the roof and it was dark, but they worked together as a team and located the pipes. The other quotes I got stood in the doorway, talked for five minutes and said they would send me a quote.. These guys put on shoe protectors to walk through my laminate floors, laid down floor covering and cleaned up after themselves during the installation. They were clean cut and in a uniform. Like I said they were far and above anybody else who gave me a quote. I just trusted them immediately. I requested that these two do my installation and they made that happen. I will use them again without hesitation for any thing in the future.
To keep your water heater running smoothly in Waco, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Waco home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Waco to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.
We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your Waco home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.
Older homes in Waco often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.
To get your plumbing ready for winter in Waco, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.
Signs of a damaged sewer line in your home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
