Absolutely amazing! This company I used because they had great reviews... came out same day, Scott was so professional, knowledgeable, and took his time explaining every detail to me. I couldn't be more happy with their service. Even their schedulers were great! Not scripted, just genuinely sincere and professional! Sadly not too many companies are like that anymore. I'm a forever customer. I won't call anyone else !

BFP provided septic services for my home. I highly recommended them. Their use of communication technology is superb, and their response time was just what I needed—immediate. Eric Card performed the service, and a helpful text pinged in when he arrived. It shared his picture, and I knew who I was dealing with. He diagnosed my situation expertly and shared his knowledge in a friendly, confident way. A+ firm. I will definitely hire them again.

I hired Ben Franklin plumbing to replace the ‘cartridge’ inside the master shower valve (Kohler K-306). Ben Franklin installed it originally. The valve started to leak due to the internal gaskets (at least 5) that normally wear out. The valve is about 15 years old and is a supersized version of a typical Kohler temp rite. To replace the cartridges and the gaskets costs about $240 (Labor only). I ordered the two parts myself directly from Kohler for about $300. The installer did a great job. This job is finicky and Ben Franklin handled it well. The gaskets even when initially put in place can move during install. Once they are installed however they stay put.

I called the company earlier this morning after discovering a leak in the cold-water faucet for our washing machine. Within minutes of reaching out through Thumbtack, the repairman, John, contacted us and arrived promptly. He provided an upfront estimate, explaining both the lower and higher end of the potential cost depending on what was required. John clearly outlined three possible scenarios: removing the remaining piece of the hose and reattaching a new one, repairing just the cold-water faucet itself, or cutting into the wall to replace the section of pipe leading to the faucet. Unfortunately, the pipe was bent and rusted, so it had to be replaced—which required cutting into the wall. However, I was comfortable with that decision because John had explained this possibility from the start. He was professional, fair with his pricing, and very respectful of our home and workspace. Given how quickly they responded and completed the job, I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of plumbing repairs.

As a demanding customer, I could not be more pleased.
To keep your water heater running smoothly in Ocean County, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.
If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your Ocean County home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in Ocean County to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.
We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.
