Augie Rocha

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was the company that came highly recommended from my friend of over 15 years. Unfortunately, i needed to have my main sewer line replaced. I received a phone call from the owner, who is a United States Marine Corps Veteran and we spoke for over 20 minutes about my plumbing issue. A couple of days later, he sent one of his employees to my home and used a camera to confirm my sewer line problem. After that was done, I received call from the owner and we spoke about my sewer problem and he gave me a quote for my sewer line replacement. The day of the sewer line replacement, I met Master Plumber Frank Jones, who was in charge of the job. Frank was very professional, personable and kept me updated as the day went on. The entire job took approximately 8 hours......WOW!!! I met the owner at my home, during the sewer line replacement and he made sure he let me know on the issues that they encountered. I am 100% satisfied with the AMAZING job Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Frank Jones did at home. I recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for all your plumbing needs!!

Frank Jones was an amazing plumber. He came to my residence at the scheduled time and put in my Flo by Moen automatic shut off and water detection leak valve. He explained everything to me carefully. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, reassuring, professional, and was patient with my many questions. He even helped me with setting up the WiFI. Top shelf rating. Could not be many happier!

From the first communication with Van Castaneda, who scheduled the initial install of the Moen leak detection system, to our friendly and experienced plumber, Mike Cox who showed up with a smile on his face and lots of expertise, we had a 5 star experience! They really care! Mike not only installed the that system perfectly, but wanted to make sure that I get the help I needed to set up the app with Moen. We liked his work so much that we ended up scheduling him to replace our old hot water heater. He works so efficiently and is so conscientious to every little detail, from the install to the cleanup, it’s worth every penny! Highly recommend Benjamin Franklin plumbing of Long Beach and specifically Mike and Van who really care about their clients. What a breath of fresh air ( haha) when it comes to to your plumbing needs!

I live out of state and my mother lives alone, and I have had many appointment companies come to her house over the years and take advantage of her where I do not feel safe and my mother does not feel safe but one thing I must say about Benjamin Franklin plumbing they are such a family oriented, trustworthy company This is the first time ever. My mother has had worked on where she felt safe secure, and the price was honest I highly recommend this company to anybody in the area. This is coming from a contractor that lives in another state as well. Their work is top-notch.

Had a water main line leak after the city was doing their routine flushing. Had several companies bid for our project, but Stacy (owner) definitely stood out as an honest, knowledgeable business owner with good follow through (which was really important to me and my husband). The technicians who came for the job (Frank and Frankie) were courteous and great. They kept us up to date on what was happening and what to expect. Both stand up people. Highly recommend working with this company. Hard to find honest companies to work with nowadays. Happy to say we found one!

Plumbing FAQs

What routine maintenance should I be doing for my San Marcos water heater?

To keep your water heater running smoothly in San Marcos, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.

How do I know if I need a San Marcos plumber for my home's low water pressure?

If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your San Marcos home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in San Marcos to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.

Are there plumbing upgrades that can help conserve water in my San Marcos home?

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your San Marcos home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.

What are common plumbing issues in older San Marcos homes?

Older homes in San Marcos often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.

What should I do to prepare my plumbing for winter in San Marcos?

To get your plumbing ready for winter in San Marcos, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.
