With 35 years in the plumbing industry and 30 years with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, Paul Hajzus has built a career on experience, hard work, and helping others grow. As General Manager, he brings decades of knowledge to the team and has played an important role in developing the plumbers who take care of our customers every day.
Interestingly, plumbing wasn't Paul's original career plan. He started out as a heavy equipment operator before moving into carpentry and drywall. Somewhere along the way, he found his way into plumbing, and what began as an unexpected career path turned into a profession spanning more than three decades.
Paul stepped into management around 2001 or 2002, taking on more responsibility and leading teams through major plumbing projects. Over time, his role continued to evolve, and he eventually became responsible for overseeing the service side of the business.
For many years, one of Paul's favorite parts of being a manager was training and mentoring plumbers, helping them build their skills and reach their potential. Sharing his knowledge and watching others grow became a rewarding part of his work. These days, though, he has something else to look forward to: retirement!
Outside of work, Paul keeps busy on his small farm. Between farming, fishing in the pond on his property, and spending time at the shooting range, he has plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors. 🎣
After 30 years with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, Paul has certainly made his mark on the company. From his unexpected start in the trades to years of leading and mentoring the team, his experience has helped shape the people and service behind the business. We're grateful for all he has contributed and wish him plenty of good times on the farm whenever retirement comes around! 👏
