Pumps

Pump

A well-maintained pump can mean the difference between a smooth running system and a disaster. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® can install, maintain and repair common pumps used in a variety of applications.

Water Pumps

Most residential water pumps are used for irrigation as part of a lawn sprinkler system, consisting of various plumbing parts, piping and control equipment. Piping is connected to the water source via plumbing fittings and the control system opens and closes valves to provide water on a schedule. Some systems are fully automated and even compensate for rain, runoff and evaporation, while others require much more hands-on operation.

Pool Pumps

An electric water pump is the primary piece of equipment in re-circulating the water from the pool through a filtering system. Water is forced through a filter and then returned, treated, to the pool. Residential pool pumps are typically run for 4 hours per day in winter (when the pool is not in use) and up to 24 hours in summer.

Sump Pumps

Sump pumps can help prevent basement flooding. They're especially important in finished basements with recreation rooms, offices or bedrooms. The pump collects excess water and moves it away from your home's foundation as the water table rises and falls throughout the year. A variety of pumps and sizes are available including electrical, water powered and battery powered back up models for use in areas prone to power outages.

Ejector Pumps

If you've ever experienced sewage that backs up or just won't flush, you already know how much frustration, let alone property damage, it can cause. And even a small amount of sewage leaking into your home can cause thousands of dollars in damage, not to mention hazardous mold and mildew growth.

Nearly all homes rely on gravity to discharge waste, but when that doesn't provide enough force, an ejector pump is generally considered to be the best safeguard against backup.

At Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, we specialize in and frequently perform ejector pump installations, maintenance and repairs, so you can rest assured that an experienced member of our staff will be on the job.

Our experience and relationships with manufacturers allow us to offer unbeatable prices on a vast selection of ejector pumps, including:
